Welcome!!

On behalf of everyone at Allendale Christian School, thank you for sharing your evening

with us in support of our school. We hope you enjoy your evening!

The support from ACS families, friends, neighbors and the surrounding communities is

important and greatly appreciated. Your generous donations and support will be used to

teach God’s faithfulness, love and glory to children for generations to come.

We would like to express our appreciation to the donors for tonight’s event. We

encourage you to support the businesses that have so generously supported our school.

Please take time to mention your appreciation for their support of Allendale Christian

School when you patronize their business.

Please also say a prayer of thanks and ask for God’s blessings for those who have

donated in support of the school through tonight’s auction, whether specifically listed as

a donor or those who have chosen to donate anonymously.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time, energy, and wisdom to this fundraising event!

A very special thank you to the staff and teachers of ACS, for their support of

this event in both time and gifts. We are blessed to have you in our school and

thank you for the Christian education and love you provide to our children.

You are truly one of God’s many gifts to us.

We have made every attempt to recognize and correctly identify all donors and describe

all donations and items. If we incorrectly noted or inadvertently missed some items,

please accept our apologies. Items or donations that may arrive after printing of this

book will be recognized in an addendum.

Coffee (provided by Biggby Coffee), water, soda, and desserts will be available.

Donations to help offset associated costs are graciously accepted.

Let’s get started!!!

Check in at the registration table .

If you pre - registered online , you have already been assigned a bidder number –

please ask for it at the registration table (please do not register again).

If you have not pre - registered there are computers set up for your convenience.

Instructions will be provided by each computer.

Once you have your bidder number you can use that number for all purchases and

bidding for the evening. When you check out your purchases will be tallied up together.

NEW TO THE AUCTION?

If you have never been to one of our auctions before, don’t worry – it’s easy! Here is

what you need to know:

Bid Board Table Auctions & Silent Auction

There will be a number of tables set up throughout the gym. Each table will

have a number of items being auctioned. Each item is assigned a specific

number. Look for a tag on the item for the item number.

Bidding slips are available at each table. Note: You MUST have an assigned

bidder number (available at the registration tables) to place a bid.

To bid, simply fill out a bidding slip with the item number, your bidder

number, and the amount you wish to bid.

Bid amounts are allowed in whole dollars only and must increase at least

$2.00 over the highest prior bid.

Bids are accepted until the posted closing time – so pay close attention to

the closing time, and watch for the most recent high bid to be posted.

One minute prior to the bid board closing, auction committee volunteers will

collect final bids in a basket. This allows everyone an opportunity to get

their last, highest bid submitted before the bid board closes.

The bidder with the highest bid will win the auction for that item.

Live Auction

To bid during the live auction, you will need an assigned bidder number

(Available at the registration tables).

Listen to the auctioneer and follow along in the book and/or slide show

presentation to know which item is being auctioned.

The auctioneer will be announcing the incremental bids, so pay attention!

To bid, simply raise your bidder number card so the auctioneer can see your

intent to bid on the item at the current price.

Buy - A - Line Donations

This is a way for ACS supporters to donate money to the school AND get a

chance to win a prize. There will be a specified number of lines available for

specified donation amounts. Once donors have committed to all of the lines,

a drawing will be held for the prize. To donate the specified amount and get

a chance to win the prize, simply enter your bidder number on one (or

more) of the lines. Look for additional details on the night of the auction.

Check Out Procedures

If you check out before the end of the auction, please understand that not all purchased

items may be recorded. If you are aware of items missing from your invoice, please

notify your cashier. If any items are missed, you will receive a separate invoice for the

additional items purchased or that you are the highest bidder on.

Payment in full must be made the night of the auction!

Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted.

Also be advised that ACS pays a 2.6% credit card fee on credit card

purchases.

Please make all checks payable to Allendale Christian School. There will be

no exchanges or refunds as all sales are final. Please plan to remove items from the

school the night of the auction. Limited delivery assistance may be available – check

with an auction committee volunteer if you need assistance.

If you pay in excess of the retail value of items, please consult your tax advisor for advice.

**Most donor gift certificates have specific expiration dates. Please honor them.
