Mission Statement SESHAA SESHAA is dedicated to provide Emergency

services in areas of natural disaster, war-torn and developing Countries with the training and resources to save lives, we also raise awareness of the plight of the Emergency Service Personnel we help and further assist in serving the world’s impoverished with humanitarian Aid and assistance, regardless of politics, race, religion or Gender.

The Funding.

• DfID- Scoping Visit.• Present funding has been given for phase

1 by the British Ambassador to Tajikistan, based in Dushanbe.

• Further funding for Phase 2 being sought.

The Project, Tajikistan.

• The focus is on the response to road traffic collisions which currently cause 18.1 deaths per 100,000 population – a considerably high road death rate.

• A project to supply road safety education, fire fighting vehicles, equipment and training to the Republican Fire Service is recommended. The infrastructure is already in place to receive any donations.

• The supply of three Fire Engines, equipped with standard Fire fighting equipment plus an RTC extrication capability, should be split between two Fire Station areas of Dushanbe and Dangara.

• A further rescue capability in the form of a 4x4 will be situated at a picked station in the Khorog, Pamir mountains.

• Assistance is also proposed for the Police and Ambulance services.

The Logistics Phase 1.• Funding from the British Ambassador allowing the purchase of

flights and accommodation for a team of four members of FIREAID to visit Dushanbe and Khorog.

• Six pallets of equipment shipped to Dushanbe for the Republican Fire Service, Ambulance Service and the Khorog Fire fighting/Rescue/mountain Rescue Teams.

• The FIREAID Team members undertake donated equipment familiarisation training with the personnel at Dushanbe and Khorog.

• The team travel to the Khorog in partnership with FOCUS (Aga Khan Foundation) to assess the further needs of the Fire fighting/ Rescue/Mountain Rescue Teams for Phase 2- 2016.

• Report to be formulated on return to confirm logistic planning for Phase 2- 2016.

The Logistics, Phase 2.• All equipment and vehicles to be sourced as

redundant donations from F&RS, Ambulance Services and manufacturers. The equipment and vehicles to be transported by road convoy from the UK to Dushanbe- 4,261 miles. Convoy drivers to be flown from Dushanbe to UK.

• A team of instructors to be flown into Dushanbe to undertake a training course/courses, the venue to be the Republican Fire Service Training School, this is also the accommodation for all personnel. Courses to be delivered: Vehicle and equipment familiarisation- RTC extrication Course- Trauma Training Course (F&RS personnel) Inter service Liaison Course RTC- Command and Control at the Scene.

• Trauma training RTC course for Medics to be undertaken at the Fire Service Training School where possible

• The proposed RTC/Rescue vehicle for the Pamirs, researched by two personnel during phase 1 will be put in place and appropriate training , swift water rescue, line rescue to be undertaken.

specialist, Mechanics• Instructors: 2 x RTC- 2 x Paramedics- 2 x Fire fighting 2 x Swift

Water Rescue/Line Rescue• Fire Kit-PPE-Gloves-Boots-Helmets-Goggles-Breathing

Apparatus-Cylinders etc• 3 x Fire Appliances- 1 Ambulance- 2 x 4x4 Convoy Support

vehicles, later to be used as RTC/specialist Appliances.• RTC extrication equipment- Line Rescue, Water Rescue,

General Fire fighting equipment- Ladders, Hose, Branches, Small Gear etc

• Medical equipment- De fibs- Trauma Kits-Collars-Splints-Spine Boards-Head Immobilisers-Burns Dressings, Dressings, Gloves etc

• Use your voluntary time to best effect• Donate redundant/ surplus Fire Engines, 4x4 vehicles and

Fire fighting equipment, RTC extrication or medical equipment for transportation to Tajikistan and project use in country.
