Project Steps One to Four10 th Grade Humanities

Teacher: Brooke Gonzales

Project Description:

In this project, students will learn about global issues in the world around us. Specifically, students will examine the role they play in our world. They will investigate the origins of products they use in their daily lives and the impact that their “stuff” has on people and the environment. They will also analyze how a change can be made regarding these global issues.

After completing the simulation in class on what the global economy is like today, reflect upon the following questions:

According to the article you read, “Globalization: A View from Below” by Jean-Bertrand Aristide, how is wealth distributed in our world? How does that compare to the past? Is it getting to be more equal or unequal?
