Merchantville School District Remote Learning Plan Pre-K-2 Week 8- May 11th-15th, 2020 First Grade Mrs. Fields Ms. Wilson In lieu of turning in instructional packets, we are asking that parents Use their child’s Class DOJO Portfolio in order to share pictures of 3 specific pieces of completed work each week. For activities from the learning packet or math workbook: Have students complete these assignments independently as this will help teachers adjust instructional activities as well as see how students are doing with the skills assigned (longer projects and writing pieces can be done with support). Assignment 3: Create A Plant Drawing and Label (Science Activity 3)-Draw or create (using things around the house, like a straw for the stem) a plant drawing and label each part of the plant and what that part does for the plant. Remember to watch the Homeschool Pop video to help you.

This week we will be completing a special thank you project for front line workers. We are asking the students to make a card or cards to thank front line workers. The students can make as many as they wish and can drop them off at Mrs. Field’s house.(26 Alexander Avenue, Merchantville) There will be a special plastic box on the front steps where the cards can be placed so that social distancing remains. We will be sure they get to the doctors and nurses working with Covid patients. We will collect cards from Monday, May 11th until Monday, May 18th. Be creative and have fun!
