For example, in the fall we looked at different color leaves and gathered acorns, in the winter we build a snowman and, in the spring, we flew kites and saw flowers blooming, now in the summer it is hotter so what can they do? One of the best activities is going to the beach. Remind the children what they saw at the beach. Or show theme this video to help them understand. Focus Question: What type of activities can we do in the summer?

Unit Summer

This week we will focus on summer activities. Remind your child what we did in different seasons. For example, in the fall we looked at different color leaves and gathered acorns, in the winter we build a snowman and, in the spring, we flew kites and saw flowers blooming, now in the summer it is hotter so what can they do? One of the best activities is going to the beach. Remind the children what they saw at the beach. Or show theme this video to help them understand. Write the word- beach.

Block Center: Camping fun- Students will be encouraged to build a camping site and take their friends on a trip. What will their tents look like? Who will they bring on their trip?

Sensory Center: Add items to a water bin and encourage students to find the items and sort by color.Literacy Center: L is for Lemonade. Have the children recall what sound does the letter Ll make? Then they will create a L is for Lemonade.

How are bubbles made?

Remind your child that all living things breathe. We breathe air. Bubbles are made when we blow air into a liquid such as water or milk. Also remind your child this is how fish breathe in water. When we add soap, the bubble is able to last longer and even float up in the air. Also, bubbles are round. They also pop when someone or something touches the bubble.

Read the book- " POP! A Book About Bubble"
