What Will it Look Like?

Practice Vision 2016Have you got a clear vision for your practice in 2016?

What services will you offer? How many hours will you work? How many new patients will you see? When will you launch your new website? How will you upgrade your clinic? How much money will you make? How much time will you have off? Who else will you be working with?

In short -

What will your practice look like in 2016?For you to make anything a reality in your life or your practice, the first thing you have to do is be able to see it in your mind, then you have to believe you can.

“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”

Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich

In his book the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Stephen Covey identifies habit 2 as

BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND“Habit 2 is based on imagination-the ability to envision in your mind what you cannot at present see with your eyes. It is based on the

principle that all things are created twice. There is a mental (first) creation, and a physical (second) creation. The physical creation follows the mental. If you don't make a conscious effort to visualize who you are and what you want in life, then you empower other

people and circumstances to shape you and your life.”www.stephencovey.com

Do you know where you want to be and what you want to have achieved by the end of 2016?Can you see it clearly in your mind?

If you haven’t really thought about it or can’t quite see it, I want to help you to take control of what your 2016 is going to look like, by starting the New Year with a vision in your mind and on paper of what you want to achieve in your practice.

I’ve put together a simple vision building tool that you can complete, tweak and use to help you get a clear vision for where you are going & what you need to do in 2016 to make it a reality.

Please feel free to adapt and chop change it to suit your practice BUT please do use it ! Without decisive action to take you towards your goals you will struggle to succeed.

Keep reading it, taking action and updating it as you go along – putting it away in a draw will have zero effect !!!

My key word for 2016 is Innovation

My core belief for 2016 isIf they can do it so can I

To change my outcomes in 2016, I’m going to change these behavioursa) Stop taking on every patient who comes to the clinic

b) I’m going to stop trying to do everything myself

c) I’m going to stop my negative inner voice in its tracks

My main dreams for my practice in 2016 are1. To make £75,000 profit

2. To attract 200 more dream patients

3. To move to new premises

4. To employ a receptionist

5. To remove all home visits from my diary

By the end of 2016 my practice will look & feel like thisWe are settled back into our newly refurbished premises, with our brilliant new waiting room, reception and clinical treatment rooms. Jackie our new part time receptionist has been with us for 5 months and has settled in really well. She is a real asset & the patients love her.The bold colours in the practice tie in well with the brand for the practice – it all feels really together. Everyone comments on how lovely it is.We have so many new patients who fit the profile of our dream patients that we are now not having to take on every patient who comes to us. We know the patients we get the best results for & who we enjoy spending time with & we now know how to attract them. We have built great working relations with a few other local practices where we refer the patients we are not best suited to helping.I am working three days a week with patients and a day a week on developing & growing the practice & I take every Friday off to do things I enjoy. In the practice I’m employing a cleaner now, which feels very decedent but is wonderful, and I have outsourced all of my finances to a great local accountant & that has freed up so much of my time and head space it is great. She was such a brilliant find.My self confidence is growing & growing & I find my self listening to the negative voice in my head less & less. Somehow the more I make things happen in the practice the more I don’t believe all that stuff I used to tell myself.

If they can do it so blooming well can I !!

The practice upgrades required for 2016 are1. Premises refurbishment
