Year 9 – Citizenship Home Learning ActivitiesWeek beginning 1 st June
Below is the range of tasks that you should study over the SECOND SUMMER HALF TERM – we have 1 CZ lesson per week.
Do the activities during the same lesson time slot that you have on your timetable. Each lessons worth of tasks should take you approximately 45 minutes. Before you start make sure that you have all the things that you will need.

Task 4 - Children's rights 1. Look at the list of children's rights.2. Explain which rights are NOT being met
when children are forced to become child soldiers.
3. Explain HOW they are not being met. 4. Who do you think is responsible for the
children losing their rights?You may need to go onto lined paper
Task 51. Look at what these drawings are showing
you. They were drawn by children who had been forces to become child soldiers.
2. How do you think these children were feeling about what they were forced to see and do?

Task 61. Imagine that you were one of the children
who drew one of the pictures or wrote one of these accounts.
2. If you were writing a diary - explain what happened to you on that day of the picture or events above.
