John the Baptist proclaimed: Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)

The Apostle Peter wrote: For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, (1 Peter 3:18 NKJV)

The Apostle Paul penned: But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 NKJV)

The Bible also speaks of The Second Death. Listen to these Scriptures:

Revelation 2:11 - He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.

Revelation 20:6 - Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Revelation 20:14 - Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The Second Death is eternal separation from God. The Second Death is being cast into the lake of fire – This is the second death.

In Christianity we have this saying: Born once die twice, born twice die once.
