We had forty individuals assemble (children and all) to do what we could to reach out to the sick, the weak, the erring and our recent visitors. We wrote cards, made calls and made personal visits in an effort to glorify God. The enthusiasm was contagious. One goal is to offer a helping hand to those who may be struggling in life with a variety of difficulties. We want them to know we love them, miss them and pray they can overcome whatever obstacle is in their path. Another goal is to grow closer together as we labor in the vineyard of the Lord. We should learn more about each member at Hollywood Road. We are the family of God in Houma and this effort will help us appreciate each other that much more. A third goal is that we have included our children to show them that laboring for the Lord is enjoyable and can be done at any age. We should labor to show our children that working for the Lord is not something we dread but rather that which can be enjoyed. Hopefully as they grow they will long to be workers for the Lord and not just people that “go to church.” We had all three elders present and they each took someone and made personal visits. Monday Night for the MasterWhat a great night we had this past Monday night!!

Hopefully as they grow they will long to be workers for the Lord and not just people that “go to church.”

We had all three elders present and they each took someone and made personal visits. Elders are charged by God to be examples to the flock (1 Pet 5:3) and this is just one way that can be shown. Having our spiritual leaders present with us meant so much to us. Although, this is exactly what God requires of them, it is exciting when we see God’s word being obeyed and we are able to enjoy the blessings from such obedience.

We had a great night, but we have room for ALL to become helpers in this effort. So, thanks to ALL who assembled and worked, but we also want to extend the invitation to EVERY member to come and help also. You may be having a difficult time yourself. If that is the case come out and enjoy an evening of work and fun with your family at Hollywood Road. The blessing of such is that your faith will be increased, your love will grow and your difficulty will become easier to handle. What a great blessing it is to be a worker for the Lord.

We also want to thank anyone who helped prepare lists, bring cards, or in any other way helped to make this so successful! To God be the glory and may we be able to expand the borders of His kingdom!! See ya Monday

Attention Men! The next Monthly Men’s Breakfast will be held NEXT Saturday, November 12th in the MPB beginning at 8 a.m. All men are invited and encouraged to attend. There will be a Men’s Leadership Class following the breakfast. This month’s class will be on “Scripture Reading.”

We are beginning a new visitation program -- "Monday Night for the Master." This will be each Monday night beginning at 6:30 pm. Everyone

wanting to participate will meet in the Auditorium for a short Devo. We will then go to the MPB and we will pair up to go make visits, make calls, write cards, etc.  We hope and pray to see you all here! This is a good work and one that is greatly needed! We have had a very low attendance of our regular members for the last 6 months. This will be a great work to encourage our brothers and sisters to

come back to worship. If you know of someone you would like for us to contact, please make a list and give it to Karen Mandina or David Jones. Thanks.
