Grammar Look at the “but and so” sheet and fill in the blanks with either “but” or “so”.

Rules for “but” and “so”: “but” is used to connect two

different points – “I don’t like porridge but I ate it anyway.”

“so” is used to show the result of something – “I like cake so I ate the whole thing.”

No need to print out or to write down the answers, just discuss your answers with an adult in your family.
