Focused on the theme of Land Use and Sustainability, campers will participate in service learning and trips around the farm and neighboring areas. We will work with the local Wukchumni Tribe to help rebuild their Sweat Lodge and then join them in a sweat. We’ll learn about the local nature reserve, help prepare and attend Visalia Meeting’s Easter Celebration, and create community by working side-by-side all week.

Participants: During this work camp, we will build together a community of service, learning, respect, and inclusion that is safe and fun for all. Although we are calling this a "Youth Work Camp," because we aim to attract a core group of teen campers, older participants will also serve in leadership and support roles. We expect to have a mix of Quakers and other friends participating, including members of the local Wukchumni tribe. Our ideal camp community will celebrate the diversity of its membership, as we seek unity among participants of any age, gender, sexual orientation, culture, language, and family background. We strive to see "that of God" in everyone and every thing. In alignment with our camp's theme of "Land Use and Sustainability," we recognize the land as a member of our community and will act as grateful guests of our hosts.Sliding scale fee, $100 to $500, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
