Dear Mr. Davis,

My name is Kelly Conrad and I am a volunteer for The Baby Fold. I’ve also worked at several events with your DJ, Faith. I am writing to ask for your help in promoting The Baby Fold’s annual event, Festival of Trees. The Baby Fold is a non-profit organization aimed at improving the lives of children in abusive or neglected environments. The Baby Fold assists in finding these children the safe and loving home they deserve. WBNQ has a great outreach to people of all ages in the Bloomington-Normal community. I am hoping you could give us a little airtime and help us spread the word about our organization and upcoming event.

Festival of Trees is The Baby Fold’s largest event. The proceeds from this event make up a significant amount of organizations funds. Last year the organization raised $190,000 through this event and this year they hope to raise over $200,000. Using these funds, The Baby Fold is able to offer adoption services, foster care, residential care, special education, and family and community services.

Festival of Trees is a family friendly event aimed at celebrating the most wonderful time of the year. The event offers activities for people of all ages. A few events being offered for kids are face painting, games, snowball fights, and Santa’s workshop. Some activities offered for adults are the gingerbread village competition, decorated trees to purchase, a cookie shop, and a show showcasing local talent.

Enclosed I have included a press kit containing contacts, background information on The Baby Fold, a news release, and possible promotional pieces for the event. I believe this is a newsworthy event and with your help Festival of Trees can be more successful than ever. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact anyone on the contact sheet or myself. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon.Sincerely,
