The Isles of Scilly are an archipelago (cluster of islands) 25 miles off the southwestern tip of Cornwall, England. The principle islands are: St Mary’s, Tresco, St Martin’s, St Agnes and Bryher. The island of St Agnes is the most southerly point in the United Kingdom. The Isles of Scilly are the setting for our current book – The Wreck of the Zanzibar.

Your task:Create a travel brochure for the Isles of Scilly. A travel brochure describes a destination with the intention of promotion – persuading tourists to visit! Animals that are unique to the Isles of Scilly such as the Scilly Shrew. Include both the fauna (wildlife) and flora (flowers, trees etc.). We recommend

including the marine ecosystem that is home to fish, invertebrates and mammals – give examples.

Be creative in your design. If you have access to colouring pencils then why not include some colour? Think about using bubble writing for the title or placing your information into shapes – the information about weather could be in a sun for example.
