Afterwards, they add all the areas together to find the total area of the shape. See can you answer Q1 & if you would like attempt the challenge. This is from CJ Fallon’s Busy at Maths 6 p.126.
Gaeilge: Léigh an scéal, má tá cabhair ag teastáil uait – téigh ar ais tríd an bhfóclóir. (Read the story, if you need help go back through the vocab from Mon & Tues).
Freagair na ceisteanna 1 – 9 in do cheann (Answer the Qs in your head!)
Léigh na habairtí thíos & freagair an bhfuil said fíor nó bréagach. (Read the sentences and answer if they are true or false).
Revise – Row 3 of An Dara Réimniú – verbs & meanings
Ceangail – ends in ‘ail’ so remember all verbs that end in ‘ail’ like Ceangail will be written like this, taking the same endings:
Aimsir Caite: You add a ‘h’ to the word - Cheangail mé/tú/sé/sí, Cheanglaíomar - watch this! Note how we dropped the ‘ai’ between the g and the L so ceangail became ‘ceangl’ plus the ending ‘aíomar’, Cheangail sibh/saidQ - Ar Cheangail? X - Níor Cheangail
Aimsir Láithreach: You drop ‘ai’, keep the L & add in the relevant endings - Ceanglaím, Ceanglaíonn tú/sé/sí, Ceanglaímid, Ceanglaíonn sibh/said, Q- An gCeanglaíonn? X - Ní Cheanglaíonn
Aimsir Fháistineach: You drop ‘ai’ again, keep the L & add in the relevant endings - Ceanglóidh mé/ tú/sé/sí, Ceanglóimid, Ceanglóidh sibh/said Q - An gceanglóidh? Ní Cheanglóidh
Try Codail now – it follows the same pattern.
PE: Today’s Workout Words – ‘MIDWEEK SLUMP’, leaving only 15-20 seconds between each type of exercise. When you have finished one round take a minute break & rehydrate (complete the circuit 2-3 times if you are looking for a challenge) or alternatively complete Joe Wicks/ Leanne Moore or an alternative workout! Don’t forget to warm up beforehand & stretch afterwards.
Mindfulness: Go outside for a walk.
