Lesson n. 02 04 – 10 July 2020 Title: Winsome Witness: The Power of Personal Testimony Key texts: Acts 4:1-20; Mark 5:15-20; 1 John 1:1-3; Acts 26; Galatians 2:20.

Principale Themes to Explore

1. The most effective form of evangelism is personal testimony, sharing what God has done in our lives.

2. Personal testimony is effective if the life of the person testifying is coherent, upright, humble, grateful and in relationship with Jesus.

3. The crux of the testimony is Jesus: who He is and what He has done; the One who is risen and works day by day for my total and eternal salvation.

Suggestions for Teaching

Discuss the difference between sharing an experience and communicating a conviction, knowledge. Keep in mind that none of the concepts that the Bible uses for mission should be ignored.

Possible questions for sharing and discussion

1. Why is personal testimony a much better way of expressing the mission of the Gospel?

2. What important factors can you identify in Paul’s passionate dialogue with Agrippa? (Acts 26)

3. How do you build your faith and your experience of salvation and sanctification with the Lord day by day?

4. What has changed in your life since you have known Jesus Christ?

5. What do we need in order to be effective witnesses? In one sentence explain what is the core of the Gospel mission?
