Women’s Shoe Sizes

As my shoeboxes are going to be created for women, it is a good idea to look into the measurements of shoe sizes in order for the shoebox to be big enough to fit shoes into. Due to a restricted time limit, I have chosen to go with the most popular shoe sizes for women that ranges from a 5-6-shoe size. Underneath is a table that shows the shoe size measurements for a range of women’s shoe sizes. I can use this as a reference for when I have to start designing my shoeboxes in order to get the proportions right.

Measurements of shoebox

I thought it would be a good idea to measure the shoebox that I already owned to see a suitable length and width size that I can base my shoebox on. The length of the shoebox is most likely going to be a good suitable size for most size 6 women’s shoes as the length of a size 6 shoe from any company should not vary much between them.

The length of this shoebox came in at 320mm which is a good size to base my own shoebox on. However, the width of this box is very slim at 45mm due to the shoes included inside being slim and compact. This may not be a great width to go on as not all shoes/trainers will be as slim as this or as easy to fit into a smaller box as the trainers inside will not want to look like they have been squashed inside the shoebox.
