Partnership Update July 2015 I'm writing this letter to you from California. I'm staying with my Mom at her home in Seal Beach for an indefinite period of time this summer. We found out just a few weeks ago that Mom has had a re-occurrence of cancer - this time it's in her pancreas and has metastasized to her abdomen. She is on hospice care and can no longer live on her own so I came out from Colorado to stay with her. She is still getting around with her walker and enjoys short get togethers with visitors. We're trusting the Lord for each day. Mom desires to walk faithfully with the Lord on this last journey and to give Him all the glory. Mom's had very little pain and we pray that continues -- we greatly appreciate your prayers! In late June, I took a few days to return to Colorado to take care of a numbers of things and also to bring my dog, Moosie, back to Calif. with me (thank you to those who prayed when she ran away for 4 days earlier this month!). I think she'll be a neat blessing for my Mom. After a very busy spring of international travel, my calendar is clear for the summer. Do you think the Lord had a plan in making this time available? I do -- thank you, Lord.

Partnership Update             July 2015I'm writing this letter to you from California.

The Trauma Healing training course that Pat and I taught in

And this (above) is the group Late April/early May found me

Chiang Mai in late March was a lot of work but exciting and worthwhile! The awesome Thai & Laotian Christians we trained are now the leaders for trauma healing throughout Thailand and the surrounding area. Did I tell you my computer totally died right after we got to Thailand? There's NEVER a good time for that to happen! I was without a computer - and a brain - for 3 weeks!

we had in Dallas for another trauma healing train the trainers workshop. This was in April - most of those attending were with Pioneer Bible Translators but also some from SIL and other missions. We were SO blessed to train them to lead these workshops in the language groups they work in around the world. What an amazing group of faithful Christians - they've already starting using the materials!

back in Mexico for almost 3 weeks. I did a lot of counseling and led 2 workshop topics. One of the workshops was on problem solving and really seemed to meet a felt need with those who attended. Along for part of this trip was a new young counselor, Lynn - a Wycliffe MK who grew up in Colombia - she's fluent in Spanish and her parents are translators. She really connected well our MKs & families!

As you know I've been hoping to bring my financial support level back up to 100%. Thank you for all your prayers and to those who have increased or started giving to my support. Sadly, one of my churches recently let me know they needed to reduce their monthly gifts by 50%. So, it's 3 steps forward and 2 steps back - but I trust the Lord's plan and provision.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful giving and encouragement. I'm so blessed to be serving along with you to put God's Word into more languages around the world!

Thank you also for your prayers for my Mom (Ruth) and for my family as we walk with her along this final part of her journey with the Lord. God is good.
