TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: ROLLING AND SLIDING
ACTIVITY
With the help of model sliding board, rolling and sliding concepts is demonstrated using suitable objects. Children are guided to check this property in the given set of items by doing it themselves.

VOCABULARY FOCUS: Rolling, sliding, flat, round, surface.

TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: ORDINAL NUMBERS
ACTIVITY
A group of ten children are made to stand in height order from short to tall. Each child is numbered from one to ten in order.
Related questions to ordinal numbers are posed to the children.
For example:
a) Who stands first?
b) What is the position of Arun?

ACTIVITY
In a pair of items, children are guided to identify the heavy and light items. The activity is repeated with different set of items.
NOTE: Student should be made clear that size of the item may not be always related to the weight. For example a big plastic ball may be lighter than a small cricket cork ball.

TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY: EXPRESSING THE NUMBERS AS TENS AND ONES
ACTIVITY
A chart sheet with big red dots and small green dots randomly put is placed on the floor. Each group of five students is given a chance to throw the bangle on the sheet. Each child’s point is tabulated with number of red and green dots. Each red dot stands for ten points and each green dot stands for one point. The winner of the group will be the child who scores the highest.
