WebEx User Guide 1. Introduction WebEx is a web conferencing solution available to all staffs at Hong Kong Baptist University.

1. Setting up a WebEx meeting (HKBU Initiation)

Step 1. Login on the Cisco WebEx Service Goto the website http://hkbu.webex.com Click “Log In” button

Step 2. Enter your Username and Password to login.

Step 3. Start the Web Conference. Under “Meeting Center” Tag, Click the“Meet Now”.

WebEx User Guide Audio There are three ways to connect audio in Webex session (Call using Computer, Call in and Call

Me)

Option1: Call using Computer Select “Audio”, “Computer Audio Settings…” to confirm your speaker and microphone

operation.


WebEx User Guide You can select your favorite speaker from the drop down menu and press “Test” button to

test your chosen speaker.

You can select your favorite microphone from the drop down menu and test the microphone.

microphone.

You can join the audio conference by using deskphone or mobile to call in

After joined the audio conference with your attendee ID, you will see a headphone icon .

Enter the phone number for join the audio conference

After call connected, press “ 1” to join the audio conference.

Insert invitees email address into the input box and click “Send”


WebEx User Guide The initiator setup is completed. You are now waiting for the invitee to join the meeting.

Step 1 Invitee should receive an invitation mail Under “Join WebEx Meeting”, Click the link to join the meeting

Step 2. Invitee should insert their name and email address and click “Join Meeting”.
