WebMD TotalCareAccount Creation

1. Personalization Since Elizabeth was sent a personalized invitation by her

doctor, TotalCare can already display her name and some of the personalized dashboard features in the background.

2. Password Strength Password strength gives Elizabeth feedback to the security of

her password3. Login Login gives Elizabeth the opportunity to link a pre-existing

webmd account to the data package sent by her doctor. 4. Profiles Profiles would allow users to link total-care dashboards so that

families could have access to recovery information of their dependents.

5. Records Records would contain any information sent by a user’s doctor,

plus any additional information they inputed. Over time, it could come to be used as an informal personal health record.

WebMD TotalCareAccount Creation 2

1. Text-Based Check-in The text-based check-in tries to account for individuals who

don’t own smart phones, but could still benefit from external medical reminders.

2. Caretaker Settings Caretaker settings is a valuable feature that we were unable to

build out in our MVP. It would allow caretakers (such as parents or adult children) access to certain aspects of their loved ones accounts such as medical updates. They could arrange to be alerted if their loved one has not checked in with the app within a certain number of days or appears to be in distress.

WebMD TotalCareRecovery Dashboard

1. Drug interaction The TotalCare portal is able to display potential drug interactions

based on medical data sent by the doctor. It’s important to highlight since interactions which can often be overlooked by patients.

2. What to expect today Based on our user-interviews we found that what caused patients the

most confusion was not being exactly sure what constituted a “normal” recovery from day to day. “What to expect today” gives a mini summary of a user’s current stage of recovery.

2. Is this normal? “Is this normal” uses the functionality of the pre-existing WebMD

Answers database to give users feedback on whether their symptoms are expected or not. It also calls out a “Frequent Concerns” panel which gives a brief summary of some of the more common side-effects or complications (and their severity) that individuals might be feeling.
