There's something inconsistent about the way in which the page loads (using :8080).

Occasionally the layout is correct, but often the central column has only one item at

the top, its remaining items being distributed at the bottom of the first column. This

leaves a blank in the centre of the page [RH].

This most definitely needs to come off as a landing page. If the College wants to retain a ‘green matters’ page then the Bursar (Green Officer) needs to be asked to

provide some text about College policy. I can’t find much in all the various booklets. A link could then be provided for Green Duck (at the very most). Or even better Green Duck should go on the Societies page.[AE]

In my opinion this just shouldn’t be a stand-alone page, not least because we are at

the mercy of the students keeping their stuff up to date. I suggest the landing page be called something like College Social Life with subpages called Bar and Bar

Extension, Ents, May Ball/June Event, Music, Societies and include a hyperlink to ‘Food and Drink’ as that is social too.[AE]

This is not a bad idea. The societies pages are variable in quality. the Boat Club's page is moriibund as I am told they comunicate on Facebook. That may well be a

better direction for ECSU to go as well, with some stuff accessible to all. [RH]



There is a long list of Societies in the Freshers' Guide. This can be adapted if a lsit is needed, so prospective studnets can see there's more to social life thatn rowing,

worshipping, singing and discussing Plato. [RH]
