A Friendly Reminder to Check for Critters:
This is the time of year that head lice begins to surface in the public schools. Because many of our children have
older siblings, it is possible that we could be exposed. Please check your child’s head regularly to make sure
your family is CRITTER FREE!!!
Head lice has nothing to do with cleanliness. It can spread by being in contact with someone at the grocery
store.
If you are exposed to this critter and discover your child has it, please be sure to call our school. We will take the
precautionary measures to make sure we do not spread the critter around.

December NEWS for ALL Classes:
Here are a few songs your child is learning in our classroom. Help them practice these
songs for our “Christmas Program” coming later this month. Enjoy these at bedtime,
in the car or anytime!
Go Tell It on the Mountain
Go tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere.
Go tell it on the mountain,
That Jesus Christ is Born! Ring the Bells
(Tune: Are You Sleeping)
Ring the bells, Ring the bells,
Blow the horn, Blow the horn.
Tell the happy story, Tell the happy story,
Jesus is Born,
Jesus is Born!
Wise Men from Afar
(Tune: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star)
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
You led Wise Men from afar.
They rode day and night to see,
Baby Jesus born for me.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star.
You led Wise Men from afar.
Away in a Manger
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed.
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head.
The stars in the sky look down where He lay.
The little Lord Jesus asleep in the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes.
But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes.
I love the Lord Jesus, look down from the sky.
And stay by my cradle ‘till morning is nigh. In a Little Stable
In a little stable, far across the sea.
Was a little baby just like you and me.
Not a bed or cradle, not a pillow deep,
But a lowly manger was His place to sleep.
How I love that Jesus who was little then.
For I know He loves me, little though I am.
hristmas is a holiday that fills vthe world with HOPE. But hope
means different things to different people. Many people see it as a new beginning, for others it is a wishful thinking for better days ahead. The Church has always seen hope in a different light – a baby-shaped, empty-tomb light.
For Christians, hope is a firm belief in the promises of God, even as the fulfillment of those promises still lies unseen. We build our hope on what God has
ALREADY done and what He has promised for the future. Way back at the beginning, immediately after Adam and Eve rebelled against Him, the Lord promised to send a Son to rescue humanity. That Child was Jesus — He is the Child of hope and the reason we celebrate Christmas!
Every child is born into this world with potential to do great things — Jesus is the ONLY Child Whom God foretold would actually save the world. He was born unbroken into a broken world. He came into darkness as the Light of the world and lived among sinful people as the sinless Lamb of God. In short, Jesus never failed to live up to EVERYTHING God demands of humanity. And being found perfect and without error, Jesus offered Himself up in place of all who have fallen short of the glory of God.
They killed Jesus by putting Him on a cross. After death, His lifeless body
was removed and placed in a tomb. His enemies cheered while His friends mourned because, once dead, this Jesus was powerless and gone . . . until the third day! Then, as He had promised, Jesus rose from the dead and an upside down world was suddenly and surprisingly turned right side up! The cost of sin had been paid. The grip of death had been broken. And Jesus became the “firstborn from the dead” Colossians 1:18.
So this is our HOPE (a combo of deeds accomplished and promises made):
• Jesus, through His blood, has paid the ransom of our sins; so, • God offers us the forgiveness of ALL our sins; and, • Promises to be with us always; therefore, • We needn’t fear death, for we will be with the Lord; and, • When Jesus returns — and He will — we will be raised from the dead just like He was . . .
This is the TRUE HOPE of Christmas, may it be the HOPE of your family!

Jesus is Born Our focus for the whole month of December is Jesus’ birth and that miraculous gift God gave us in that precious manger. A Savior! We’ll talk about how that baby born on Christmas grew up to die for us at Easter.
We get so excited about teaching the Christmas story because of the message it brings to each child about how much God loves them, enough to send His own Son down to Earth for the sole purpose of dying for each of us. What awesome love! We will have individual Christmas Programs this year in our Sanctuary. We will narrate the Christmas story with each child dressed as part of the Christmas story. Watch for a flyer telling you when your child’s class program will be. May you have a blessed Christmas celebrating His awesome birth. In Christ, Miss Tess & Miss Sarah
Christmas Programs
We will have individual class Christmas programs this year in our sanctuary in the evening. We are hoping this gives each family opportunity to see their child in our program with plenty of seating for those in your family that would like to attend.
