SEMINOLE SUCCESS NIGHT

Student Registration for our 2015 Seminole Success Night is open! During the spring semester, the Career Center and the Center for Leadership & Social Change holds its annual “Seminole Success Night: A Celebration of Diversity and Leadership” networking event. This event provides a unique opportunity for students of diverse backgrounds to network and build relationships with corporate companies and organizations who are actively seeking these populations. The event also provides the space for students to explore companies and organizations based on their identities and core values. More information concerning the event can be accessed HERE. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 28, 2014 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the Alumni Center and is open only to 150 students who pre-register. GIRLS ON THE RUN

Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a national non-profit that provides an experience based curriculum to girls ages 8-13, that encourages them to be confident, joyful and healthy, while also creatively incorporating running (non-competitively). GOTR is now seeking coaches for the Spring season, that will begin in February. Teams meet twice a week for 1.5hrs, for 10 weeks, and seasons culminate with an end of season 5K that is truly something spectacular. Spring season will begin in February and end in early May. The girls walk away with lessons and confidence to last a lifetime, and you walk away knowing that you played a HUGE role. Most sites start around 3:00pm and end around 4:30pm. School sites still in need of coaches: Hawks Rise, Maclay School, Desoto Trail, and Roberts. *Males CAN coach as well! FEDERAL WORK STUDY POSITION:

CENTER OPERATIONS STUDENT ASSISTANT

Center Operations Student Assistant (COSAs) are responsible for preforming a wide variety of important tasks at the Center for Leadership & Social Change such as assisting with daily operations and upkeep of the Center. Duties include: maintaining the department’s fleet of vans (filling up with gas, replenishing forms, data entry of mileage logs, transporting to/from the repair shop, etc.); organizing/cleaning spaces in the building (storage closets, work rooms, etc.); and helping with other special projects. COSAs will have the opportunity to cover the front desk as needed (answering phones and assisting visitors who come in seeking information or services). Students should be able to work 8 to 10 hours/week, Monday through Friday. EVENTS & OUTREACH COORDINATOR FSU College of Fine Arts is Seeking Events & Outreach Coordinator. Duties will include organizing and managing college-wide social, educational, entertainment, and fundraising events. The applicant should also be able to coordinate public relations and communications by working with other staff members; solicit vendors, negotiate prices, and prepare budget reports for event-related expenses; work to maximize event impact

NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK LIVING HISTORY

INTERPRETERS NEEDED Seeking candidates for historic interpreter positions, including those who are bilingual in both Spanish and English. The primary responsibilities for these positions are to inform the public of the history of Mission San Luis through tours, programs, and daily interpretation of the history and culture of the Apalachee and Spanish

residents of the 17th-century mission. Such costumed "living history'" interpretation will include demonstrations of period crafts, skills, and chores while attired in 17th-century clothing. You must be comfortable speaking and interacting with audiences. Training will be provided in the history of the site. Additional responsibilities of this position will include assisting with day to day historic maintenance tasks, including program preparation and clean up, animal husbandry, cleaning of exhibit areas, gardening, carpentry, opening and closing of reconstructed buildings, and other related tasks.
