CHESTNUT GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH
If you missed this past Sun-
day’s Sermon don’t worry, we
will keep you updated. You
can participate in our story of
faith by listening online. You
can also use our discussion
guide to continue the conver-
sation.
WEDNESDAY’S WORD
STOP HUNGER NOW You can be “Hands on” in this event in multiple ways this Advent. One is to
participate on Sunday, January 8 in packing events at 8:30 and 11am. Second,
you can unload the truck upon arrival at 7am. Sign up sheets to help set up are in
the Welcome Area and on the Rice O’ Meter. Third, donate financially. 29¢ = one
well-fed child. Three giving options include: give online, noting “SHN,” on a
check in the offering plate, or using a specially marked SHN envelope available
at the slat walls outside each worship area door. The last date to give will be Sun-
day, January 1. We hope to surpass the 500,000 meal mark on this, our 8th
year! Contact the church office with any questions.
Chestnut Grove is comprised of amazing individuals. To hear and read some of their stories check out the Faith Stories page on our website: chestnutgrovebaptist.org. If you have a story you would like to share please contact Landon Collins.

THANK YOU FROM PACEM Thank you for once again hosting PACEM’s women’s shelter in our 13th win-
ter of helping people who are homeless in our area. We want you to know how
truly blessed this community is to have congregations like yours to help in our
mission to provide shelter for our neighbors in need. We greatly appreciate
your willingness to prepare and serve dinner, for all the desserts, shopping
trip, donations, and hospitality you provided for the guests in a warm, wel-
coming, and compassionate environment each night. In addition to shelter,
Chestnut Grove also provides generous financial support for PACEM. Your
financial help supports the cost of PACEM’s shelter staff in your church. The
graciousness of the entire PACEM Family makes it possible for us to remain
open throughout the winter. Thank you for hosting PACEM’s women’s shelter
again this year, for the hands of all your volunteers, the graciousness of open-
ing your doors, and your willingness to work with other congregations in our
community to address the immediate needs of our neighbors.
