Thank you, Mrs. Hartung Today’s Schedule: Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014 *Morning Duties: folder, name-tag, SMARTboard picture *Breakfast/Morning Activity in room *Morning Meeting: Greeting- Hello Neighbor; Sharing: Surprise Box; Group Activity: Flag Pledge and Calendar; Morning News: SMARTboard (graphing/phonics activity) *Reading Block: Comprehension: We used our prior knowledge telling our talking partner about what we knew about fire fighting. We listened to the story “Dot The Fire Dog” and “A Very Busy Firehouse” on bookflix.com. We completed vocabulary and comprehension puzzlers after the stories. We will be studying about fire safety. National Fire Safety is the week of Oct. 5 th . We will be taking a trip to the fire station in Plum City. I will let you know when. first round of Daily 5 centers. We circled our new words “is”, “it”, “a” Please continue to help your child read, identify, and spell these new words. Thanks! Daily 5: We completed the second round of Daily 5. Phonics/Fluency: sang Alphardy and fire fighting songs. Daily 5: We completed the third round of Daily 5. Sharing/Check In: How did centers go? *Recess/Lunch *Rest: movie or story *Specials: Health, PE, and computer lab *RTI: (Response To Intervention) We worked on rhyming words, initial sounds, alphabet letter names and sounds, and syllables with a SMARTboard game *Math: *Lesson: We worked with comparing numbers and writing the number 5. We completed some workbook pages. *Centers: We worked independently on the Thanks Officer Eric for coming to our Room!
