Good luck
Good luck to our Touch Football Knockout team who are playing the next round of the knockout today
against Clemton Park. If we win this round we will be into the finals next term.
NAPLAN
Our NAPLAN results were sent home with Year Three and Year Five students last week. If you would like more information about your child‟s results or wish to discuss your child‟s performance please feel free to make an appointment to meet with me or the Deputy Principals. Our school results were very pleasing, with all school means being above the national mean. I expect to be publishing information
about our achievements in future Newsletters.
Well done!
Uniform Changeover
The warm weather is coming but somewhat erratically. Please feel free to send your children in either summer or winter uniform before the end of term. I understand some children will still feel the cold but others will be champing at bit to get into their summer shorts. All students should be wearing their
summer uniforms from the commencement of Term 4.
P & C Meeting
The final P & C meeting for term two will take place tomorrow evening, in the library commencing at 7.30 pm. There has been some progress around the development proposal for Bungan Street. Come
along to the meeting to hear the latest information.
Keeping Me Safe Promotion
On 8th October 2011 the Police Band and Charlie the Penguin will be visiting Warringah Mall as part of the Police promotion “Keeping Me Safe”. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear the band and find out
information about keeping your children safe.
Disco
“Thank you” to the Meadows Family and Liz, Sally, Elaine, Nick, Danka, Chris and Linda, Amber, Marja,
Leanne, Stewart, Carlie, Jillian, Veronica and Claudia for their support of the Disco last Friday. It raised $1700
for the school band instrument fund.
Farewell
This will be my final Newsletter as Principal at Mona Vale Public School. Greg Jones the Principal at
Cromer Public School will be relieving as Principal until the position is filled early next year. I would
like to take this opportunity to thank the school community, staff and parents for their support during
my years at the school. It has been both a privilege and an honour to have served the students at
Mona Vale and other schools in the Public Education system for the past 33 years.
Regards, Michelle Jacobs, Principal

TAKE HOME A BIG BROTHER OR BIG SISTER
Give your children the wonderful opportunity to have an international big
brother or big sister by hosting one of our exceptional international
students arriving in Australia in February 2012 for their 5 or 10 month
programs. Our international students from France, Germany, Italy, Austria,
Japan, the U.S.A and Canada will live as a local, attend a local secondary
school, arrive with their own spending money and comprehensive insurance
cover - all arranged by Southern Cross Cultural Exchange. Visit us at
www.scce.com.au<http://www.scce.com.au/>, email
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> or call us toll free on
1800 500 501, request our little booklets of international student
profiles, and capture the spirit of family and friendship!
Thanks and kind regards,
