“PASTOR PAUL’S PARAGRAPHS”
Dear Members and Friends of Sweetwater Baptist Church: Blessings!! May is going to be incredible! There are numerous events and activities taking
place throughout the month. I would like to mention just a few of them.
“The National Day of Prayer” will be on May 2nd. We will be having “Ten Hours of Contin-
uous Prayer” from 8:00am – 6:00pm. There is a sign-up poster in the Sanctuary for you to select a
time slot that is convenient with your schedule. Let me encourage you to participate in this important
endeavor as we pray for our nation and for revival.
Our “Senior Adult Revival” will be during the dates of May 5 – 8. Even though we are calling
it a “Senior Adult Revival,” it is open to anyone who would like to attend. We will be having a dif-
ferent speaker for each service, and there will be lots of inspirational music and worship. Enclosed in
this newsletter you will find a flyer listing the times and various speakers that will be with us. I hope
that you will take advantage of this unique opportunity to invite your friends, family members, and
neighbors to Sweetwater. Please, pray that God will use this event to save the lost, renew His people,
and revive His church.
On Saturday, May 18th, we will be having a New Member Orientation Class at 9:30am in the
church Fellowship Hall. A continental breakfast will be served. If you have joined our church in the
last quarter (January – April) or if you are contemplating joining, I want to give you a personal invi-
tation to attend. The purpose of this class is to help our newest members and prospective members to
become more familiar with the ministries, affiliations, organizational structure, facilities, etc. of the
Sweetwater Baptist Church. Each participant will receive a booklet with helpful information. I will
be leading this special class, and I am looking forward to spending time with the newest members of
our church family.
This year’s “Memorial Day Celebration” will be on May 26th. We look forward to this special
occasion at Sweetwater each year. We will have one morning worship service at 10:45am. That af-
ternoon, the “Old Time Gospel Ramblers” will be our guest musical group for the “Evening in the
Park.” Please, invite your friends and family members to join us for this awesome time of fun, food,
and fellowship.
Please, consult the calendar of events for the many other activities and opportunities of ministry
that are offered throughout May. It is truly a joy and a privilege to serve you.
With a Pastor’s Love,
Brother Paul Philippians 1:3

May’s Big Fish Bubbles
Wow, the month of May is already here. It feels like we just got started with our Children’s Ministries and now
it’s time to take a break for summer! Please mark your calendars for our end-of-the-year awards ceremony on
Sunday, May 19th at 5:00 pm. You don’t want to miss this special evening to recognize all of the hard work our
children have done this year. As the end of this year approaches we will say goodbye to some of our Children’s
Ministries until the fall, but we have exciting summer plans to get ready for. This summer we will have our Colos-
sal Coaster VBS from June 17th until June 21st. This year our VBS will be packed full of excitement as children
dare to change, dare to speak up, dare to stand strong, dare to believe, and dare to trust in God! You don’t want
to miss out on this thrilling adventure, so sign up today online through our church website or by placing your com-
pleted form in the VBS box located in the Children’s Area in the FLC. Our summer plans don’t stop with VBS. We
have an exciting new midweek program lined up for Wednesday evening and we will be doing a morning excursion
and Bible study during the week as well. Look for more information about all of these upcoming events in your
bulletin each week. Thank you all for the support and love of our Children’s Ministry!
Train up a child in the way he should go:
and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
