Happy Birthday Richey Glasgow, Joe Davis, Kim Gunz, Cecilia Koch, Andrew Sanders, Margaret Hampton, Kerry Buckner!!! Happy Anniversary Gyp & Margaret Hampton!!! Prison Ministry In the month of July, 6 men were baptized at the Billy Moore Correctional Facility in Overton, 5 men were bap-tized at the Bradshaw facility, 34 men and 45 women were baptized at the MTC facility. This brings the 2015 total to 523!

Bob’s Thoughts...

WAIT UPON THE LORD

“Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall

renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.” - Isa. 40:30-31

Weary and faint: now that’s a very grim picture. And we’re not just talking about older people either. This con-dition applies to people of all ages. The stressors of life are enormous: job losses, retirement losses, home losses, and the list goes on. Due to the deteriorating conditions of our global economy, as well as a myriad of other human tragedies, many people are becoming weary and faint (weary - tired, very tired; faint - extremely exhausted, overwhelmed). People are giving out and giving up in growing numbers. But that is not necessarily bad if…if giving up means ceasing from one’s human efforts and waiting upon the Lord. Waiting? But waiting is the last thing most people want to do. Most peo-ple are running around frantically doing everything they can just to keep body and soul together. The result: many are becoming weary and faint to the nth degree!

So what’s a person to do? The Scriptures are clear; it’s inevitable that under the pressures of life everyone will eventually grow weary and faint. However, there is a viable alternative. You can accept God’s solution. You must stop what you’re doing. Cease from all your human efforts and rely upon the Lord. He will renew your strength! He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think! He will empower you! Then you will soar with the eagles.

Have a Great Week!

Bob
