Volunteers for Annual Collection Day – Special Olympics – Across Dublin and Nationwide Special Olympics Ireland are looking for additional volunteers to assist with its national collection day on Friday 11th April 2014. All funds raised go directly towards delivering a sports programme for people with an intellectual disability in Ireland. Contact Emma on 01 8912000 or [email protected] Volunteer Youth Leader -‐ Bluebell Youth Project -‐ Dublin 10 Are you interested in helping out in a youth programme for 6-‐9yo or 10-‐12yo? Bluebell youth Project is looking to recruit a few new volunteers to its team. The groups meet on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. No experience required, just an interest in making a difference with young people. Contact Rachel on [email protected] Art Teacher Volunteer -‐ Headway Ireland -‐ Dublin 7 Headway, a charity organisation who provides support to people with an Acquired Brain Injury, is looking for a volunteer to facilitate the Art classes in our centre in Black Hall Place, Smithfield on Friday mornings (10am to 12.00pm). There will be Headway staff present at all time. We are looking for an experienced person with an artistic background and an interest in teaching who is willing to donate their time for a good cause. Contact Sara on 01 6041723 or [email protected] Yoga or Fitness Instructor for Older People -‐ Salvation Army, Granby Lifehouse -‐ Dublin 1 A volunteer is needed to teach yoga or another form of gentle exercise class to older people in the day centre. Volunteers must have previous training and experience of teaching yoga or fitness classes, an understanding of the needs of older people and an awareness and sensitivity to the needs of people with mental health difficulties. Contact James on 01 8725500 or [email protected] Homework Club Study Buddy -‐ Separated Children’s Services -‐ Dublin 1 Separated Children's Education Service are looking for experienced tutors for second level subjects and volunteers that help students to write assignments. The students are generally aged between 15-‐19 years, and are all separated children and young people in the care of the HSE. This means they are seeking asylum in Ireland and are here without any family or adult carers. All of the students who use the service do so of their own accord. They sign themselves up and as a result are extremely motivated. Experience in retail or shops is helpful. Good Communication Skills, strong English Language Skills, and a trustworthy, friendly manner are essential.
