Professional psychosocial assistance provided to clients includes medication management, counseling, independent living training, and job coaching. Many members attend Ocean House daily and receive the positive supportive assistance so vital in reducing the isolation common to mental illness. The members of Ocean House have learned to crochet and are making beautiful, practical rag rugs as a fund raiser to support their member activities and lunch program. WE RESPOND TO GOD’S WORD

+HYMN 738 “O Master, Let Me Walk with Thee” MARYTON

+AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (The Apostles’ Creed)

I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pi-late, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.

OFFERING OFFERTORY ANTHEM

"The Secret of Christ" Richard Shephard For a long time I have held my peace, but now will I speak, I will lead the blind in a way they know, not in paths that they have not known. I will guide them, I will turn their darkness into light, and I will not forsake them. And he showed me a pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God; and on ei-ther side of the river was there a tree of life, and the leaves of the trees were for the healing of the nations. Help us, Lord, to persevere in prayer with minds awake and thankful hearts, that we may share the secret of Christ with those we meet on our earthly pilgrimage, following in the steps of Jesus, our Master and our friend. Amen.

The Pilgrim Prayer – Derrick Walters

+DOXOLOGY (606) OLD HUNDREDTH Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise Him, all creatures here below; Praise Him above, ye heavenly host; Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION God of compassion, In Jesus Christ you reveal the light of your glory. But we turn away, distracted by our own plans. We confess that we speak when we should listen and Act when we should wait. Forgive our aimless ambitions. Grant us wisdom to live in your light and To follow in the way of your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, In whose name we offer these prayers…

SILENT PRAYER KYRIE MERBECKE

Lord, have mercy upon us. Christ, have mercy upon us. Lord, have mercy upon us.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON Friends, according to Matthew The disciples fell to the ground, and were overcome by fear. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, Get up and do not be afraid.” Let us all believe this good news: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

+GLORIA PATRI (581) GREATOREX Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost:

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,

World without end. Amen, Amen.
