Luke 16:23 ASV “And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.”
It should be translated “hades”
“Gehenna” - place of eternal punishment
Hades is not the same as Hell
Hell - KJV
What is Hades ?“The unseen realm of the dead - the receptacle of disembodied spirits”
“Hades” - Greek word for Hebrew - “Sheol” “the unseen” “Invisible abode or mansion of the dead” “Place of departed spirits” “The abode of the dead” “Under-world - world of departed spirits” “receptacle of disembodied spirits”
