Industry-based Learning Program

The opportunity for students to undertake a paid industry placement in a role related to their discipline as part of their degree studies.

Courses offering work experience in industry are highly sought after by employers as they play a critical role in the development of employability skills and job readiness of graduates.

• The industry placements are set up as elective units earning credit points towards the degree

• Duration between 3 - 12 months (equivalent to 1, 2 or 4 credit points).• Full-time or part-time• Supervised and assessed• The work provided is discipline specific• Students are required to pay CSP fees• Students receive a $620+ per week tax-free scholarship

How our IBL Program works

• Applications are accepted three times a year

• Students with a well rounded resume are invited to a screening interview (conducted by the Faculty)

• Students who pass the screening interview are added to the IBL pool to find suitable placements and are offered professional development to prepare them for placements in industry

• Organisations offering industry placements are sent resumes of students meeting placement requirements

• Placement organisations will interview short listed students and choose student(s) – similar to graduate recruitment
