TRANSCRIPT
Friday Night Lights has elevated to a world-renowned Simmental event that has produced many of the very best breeding pieces in the breed today. This sale has always been about the commitment to the consignors and their dedication to sell their very best. The time, expense and dedication to advance their programs and then allow us to sell the cream of the crop is to be commended as it is truly an elite offering. This sale has evolved into an awesome opportunity to add high quality genetics to your program, no matter your budget. You’ll see a fraction of the success stories in the catalogue and they continue to grow with satisfied customers annually.
When analyzing the strength of this offering you’ll be impressed with the cross section of high quality in the fullblood, red and black sector in both the bred and open heifer sections. We believe in cow families and maybe it sounds repetitious when we visit on this sale but it is only the very best cow families that we allow to be sold so you can buy with confidence. We have all worked hard to take any guess work out of your purchase as we know the strength in a consistent, productive pedigree is as important as the beautiful female that carries it and we are excited to combine phenotype and genotype in the offering throughout this catalogue. We don’t take this sale lightly and it is an open sale to all breeders who wish to join but we do advocate quality over quantity as the loyal consignors have established.
ROI - return on investment is what it is all about! The purebred industry is filled with great people and we have many of the leading breeders represented in this sale that you can invest in with confidence and it has proven that these cattle absolutely work in the real world. We do encourage you to join us all for a weekend of sales in Alberta as we kick it off in Olds on Friday evening. The cattle will be available for viewing days prior if you wish to see them then and we will be taking every precaution to ensure this is a safe and enjoyable environment to enjoy come sale time. We look forward to seeing you in Olds and excited about this group of sale cattle as we know the future looks bright and ROI is just around the corner when you invest in the quality at FNL!
Best regards,

Erixon Lady 4H is a special one! She has been at the top of the pack from the beginning and just keeps getting better. Her udder structure is absolutely flawless! 2 full brothers will sell in our 2021 bull sale and they also look the part. IRCC Darlin’ 613D made quite the flash in 2018 as she dominated the show ring out in Ontario and was named Grand Champion Female at the Royal. She then went on to be the Reserve Champion Female at Agribition and topped off her show career with being named top 10 in the Royal Bank Supreme. She is nearly flawless in her design and was admired by many. We feel this is one heck of an opportunity to buy into one with endless potential. Erixon Lady 4H is a spitting image of her dam!
Darlin cow family
It is with great anticipation that we introduce our first daughter out of the $45,000, crowd favorite, IRCC Darlin’ 613D! A prolific female admired by many across Canada, for her flawless structure and udder quality. A female that has a tremendous show record behind her including Champion Female at the Royal, and Reserve Champion Female and top 10 finalist at Agribition in 2018! We have heard from several people who have seen this cow in the flesh, that “She is the real deal!” Mader Darlin’ 4H, tracks very closely in her mommas footsteps, as she is so structurally sound, has lots of extension through that front end, has great teat placement, and is absolute dream to analyze on the profile or on the move. The combination with SVS Betts has been very complimentary, as he adds that idolized softness, rib shape, and depth of quarter into this female. Darlin’ 4H would be a gem to show with her unreal hair coat, functionality, and balanced body type, but mostly she will be a great attribute in passing down the great traits we look for, into her progeny.

Sheila 023H is a heifer that has a ton of power and shape but still has an abundance of presence and look. She has already been a champion in the show ring winning Champion Simmental in the Stockade Lady Jackpot at the Lloydminster Stockade Roundup and class winner in the Simmental Show. She is from the first calf crop of the $92,000 Bentley, that produced equally as well and consistently on both the heifer and bull side . On the bottom side is RF Sheila 7105E, that is a direct daughter of the famous Liner 56U and the many times champion Sheila 82A. This is her second calf with her first try being a $30,000 highlight through the Friday Night Lights ring selling to Rust Mountain View Ranch. Generations of great uddered, high capacity females line the pedigree of 023H. Lots of cow power in the pedigree of this one and she’s the type we strive to produce with extra power and style all in one package.
When you get to consign to Friday Nite Lights You bring only the best to town and that we did with 21H. LFE Sheila 82A is easily recognized in the Simmental breed and TJSC Boone’s Pickens makes for some marketable progeny. This heifer is su-per stout, has a massive spring of rib and combines with a feminine front end in one attractive package.

This year we’re pleased to offer two maternal sibs from the Cotton Ball cow family. 109G is a great example of what the family represents. Exceptional feet and leg structure, very attractive front ends, tons of rib capacity and most of all their udder structure. They express square tidy udders with small teat size. We are excited to see this genetic combination of powerful cow families in this pedigree of Cotton Ball, Cassadine TC 90N, Miss Werning 8543U and RF Certainly Flirtin 532C! 109G has strong calve ease numbers and is mated early to LFE Game Face, who’s a high selling black baldie bull that Robb farms acquired from Lewis Farms. The first calf reports on LFE Game Face sound very promising; a black blaze face bull or heifer calf out of Miss Cotton Ball could make for a quick ROI!

Once again backed by a proven female LFE DreamLady 79W who of which is the dam to the well-known MAF R Horizon 7Y that has been very influential in the Simmental breed. We’re excited to offer 89H as the first female to sell out of Revere as his females will have a strong impact in our herd.

Lots 4A & 4B: In the fall of 2019 we were fortunate enough to purchase a handful of bred recips from the Windy Hill realignment. In there was a mating that clicked on every level. Sired by Betts, a bull that everyone has had great success with in his first calf crop. Matched up with the Brooke cow, she was the mother to the $30,000 high selling female at the 2017 Mo-tive Event, purchased by Miller Livestock and South Paw Cattle. Both heifers carry a strong maternal look, are flooded with natural muscle and by far were the easiest fleshing calves all summer. No matter what heifer gets picked we will be happy to haul her sister home, turn her out and sit on the edge of our seats watching her develop into a great working female.

Elles Chanel 2G is the result of a successful flush of Drake Prada 1C, the multiple champion daughter of DrakeTula 1R who is a true matron in the Simmental breed. Prada is another example of what top programs like Czech-Mate and Black Gold, with Tula breeding as a foundation cow already know - predictable, proven, profitable, winning genetics. Prada’s first calf, Elles Pandora, was one of the high selling females in FNL 2017 selling to KT Ranches. We bred Prada the same way for her second calf and the resulting daughter, Elles Zara, is in our program. We bred Zara to the $200,000 HF Alcatraz Angus sire and the resulting bull calf was sold this fall to one of our repeat bull buyers. Chanel collected her first banner last fall and was set to continue her winning ways this year as her sire, CCLT Alliance, stamped her with the eye appeal and performance that he is known for. Chanel is bred to Colburn Primo 5153, one of the hottest Angus sires that produces show quality cattle and genetics to add to your arsenal, regardless of breed. Primo’s full sisters are some of the most dominating show heifers on the circuit. The combination will result in a deep bodied, big boned, square hipped and hairy banner hanger.

prada cow family
Elles Tiffany 3G is the natural calf of Drake Prada 1C, the multiple time champion cow that continues to produce banner winners and herd building progeny. Prada’s first daughter, Elles Pandora, collected banners then sold to KT Ranches - a high seller in FNL 2017. KT immediately elevated Pandora into donor cow status - one resulting Rust Rio Grande sired mating sold to Robert Jackson for $5,000 in KT’s joint bull sale. Tiffany was in our show string last fall and would have continued showing this spring and fall as she is exceptional in her phenotype combining that herd-cow power with a sweet angularity. Tiffany follows in the footsteps of the two standout Carver daughters that Black Gold Simmentals and Ultra Livestock sold in FNL last year. Sunny Valley Simmentals and Crow Bros purchased them for a combined average of $15,750. The bonus is Tiffany is bred to WS Proclamation, the CCR Cowboy Cut son with an outcross pedigree to most programs and a top set of EPD numbers in the breed. If you like winning in the show ring, the sale ring or showing them off in the pasture, Tiffany is the producing kind.

Carrying on the Friday Night Lights tradition of having progeny stemming back to 202Z is this broody heifer with a different twist to her pedigree. The bottom side of her pedigree is stacked with 4 truck winning Supreme Champion cows and even more generations of beautiful uddered, huge bodied cows. The twist to her pedigree comes through her Rust Breakthrough sired 2 year old dam that did a great job on her first calf and looked good doing it. She will also be one of the first Proclamation calves to sell in Canada and she and her brothers in our bull pen are and example of how curve bending the sire group can be. If you like epd’s, check hers out. She’s above average in 12 out of 13 traits and top 1% to 15% in 7!
Flirt 034H is a broody made female with a ton of rib and capacity just like the cow family she stems from with a little added chrome. Her dam is a huge bodied, great uddered female that entered our donor program this spring. 614D has been an extremely consistent producer with her first two sons selling to ALTA Genetics and Pheasantdale Simmentals and 034H is her third calf. Great udders, great feet, and longevity are bred into this one with her grand dam still in production and her great grand dam just leaving the farm this fall at 14 years of age with 65 progeny registered in Canada and many more registered in Australia and the US. Sired by the exciting $92,000 Bentley and backed by generations of great females on the bottom side makes for a very exciting cow prospect.

There was no question when this heifer calf was born, where she would be selling. This is the first calf to be offered out of the $62000 FNL high selling heifer calf, RF/Rust Flirt 827F, and she is good! 92H is a spitting image of her prolific dam, and is super stout, long spined and powerful. 827F has exceeded all expectations thus far, she great uddered, fertile and stands on the best foot we’ve ever had on our farm! Maternal brothers to 92H are at the top of our bull pen, and one was just named Intermediate champion bull calf at Lloyd stockade. Frontrunner is a popular up and coming bull from Downhill Simmentals and Wheatland, siring added calving ease and hair quality. This young heifer is packed with maternal power and is backed by what is arguably the most popular cow family in the business.

She is a direct daughter of RF Certainly Flirtin 202Z , A cow that has swept the industry in producing both exceptional and reputable Donor Cows and herd sires . 7419 is an extremely long bodied ,full flanked ,soft made phenotypically beautiful female from her perfect foot structure to her very elegant and attractive front 1/3. She was an April born calf who continues to surpass expectations with excellent fertility catching the first AI service to LKCC Bold Venture for January 29th with no exposure. Bold Venture has been turning heads and making friends every where he goes, noted for being a smooth made, Very classy and correct sire with the added value of calving ease. I am very excited and proud to offer this future donor female in the Friday Night Lights Sale!
Lady 41G is the kind that you want an entire herd of; long bodied, deep sided and performance based. She is very gentle in her nature and has a presence to her. Be sure to check out the hoof structure on Lady 41G, she has excellent feet. The potential to raise high end true performance bulls and heifers for the replacement pen is what this heifer is designed to do. Her dam will calve in Jan and has done extremely well for us as a maternal sib sold to Red Willow Ranch in the 2018 edition of Simmsational for $9500. 41G is bred up early to Proclomation and you will see return on your investment out of this easy doing bred. 172G is a young female that we have been excited about for awhile. We acquired her dam from Hudson Pines Dispersal, and we are sure excited for her impact after seeing how well she did on her first calf. 396E is a good uddered, good footed female with a unique look from her shoulders forward. She is a full sister to the 2018 Grand Champion at the Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes and 2019 Grand Champion Cow/Calf in Louisville for King Cattle Company. 172G blends an awesome combination of a soft, maternal appearing body shape but is still very refined and attractive about her head and neck. She’s a heavy structured female who’s extremely flexible off of both ends and good in her foot size and shape. Only a March heifer who bred early to Black Rebel, we are confident this mating should be exciting.

We purchased Giovanna’s dam at the FNL sale 4 years ago from a tremendous cattle family and couldn’t be happier. Sizzle is a powerful easy doing female with a perfect udder and sound from front to back. Her only other heifer calf is in the herd and has the same udder as her mom. Giovanna is sired by our MRL 2D Riddler son who is a calving ease phenon which adds to the attractiveness of her pedigree. He’s smooth made and backs it up with balance and natural muscle we see come through all his offspring. We admire 906G for her capacity, length of spine and ease of movement, she is carrying the exclusive AI service of RF/Rust Stimulus 610D to calve mid January with no pasture exposure. The only 2 Stimulus sired heifers to be ‘let go’ from Rancier Farms brought $105,000 while the rest were retained in their herd. Anyone heard of the Flirt cow family...she’s in there too. We don’t need many words to describe 32G, as she is quite honestly an absolute tank. Overwhelming in terms of body mass and power, and as big hipped and topped as you can make one. For all her power and fleshing ability she’s still one that travels with ease around the pen. 501C is a big volume, powerful cow who steps down on a large square foot. Bred early to the calving ease Approval 71E, we would expect a dark red , solid calf no matter the sex.

Gwen is a very good SVS Brooks daughter. She is very loose made with a ton of body to her, I really admire how loosely made this heifer is and how attractive she is. Brooks has done amazing things for our Red program and I have absolutely no regrets about buying him. We calved his first daughters last year and they were all an absolute treat. They all have excel-lent udders and milking ability and some of our calves off this daughters are atop the bull and replacement pen. Lady Kyra was a cow that we bought from Brad Parker when he had his reduction sale a few years ago. I was looking thru the cows prior to the sale and really wasn’t looking for a red cow, but when I saw her I knew she was a cow that I needed to own. She is a big barrel of a cow with a fantastic udder for now being 8 years old. She is bred to the Limitless bull, a bull that sired a high seller right through this very ring last year for the Erixon’s last year. I believe all the guess work is taken out of Gwen already and she has very bright future in front of her.

SVS Red Nikki 960G comes from one of our most productive cow families, the Nikki progeny are at the front end of the calf crop each and every year. A maternal sister to 960G was the high seller at the Border City Sale last fall at $30,000 selling to Black Gold and Greenwood. Another maternal sister sold to KD’s Simmental at Agribition for $10,000. 506C simply does not miss, she is one of the many impressive and highly productive Captain Morgan daughters in our program. 960G herself is very easy to like, she is massive bodied, excellent footed and very nice uddered. She is bred early to Red Heat, a mating that I very much would have liked to be born here. We really like this female and are proud to offer her at FNL.

We really like our Red Deputy daughters, they are ideal in their type and very productive. 914G is an ET daughter of the well known Yara donor who has 30 progeny registered in Canada and 88 progeny registered in the USA. There aren’t many polled females walking the pastures of Mark Land and Cattle so you can just imagine how good this one must be to be selected to represent the program under the big glow of the Friday Night Lights Sale. Regardless polled or horned 409F is truly as complete as we know how to make them. She is beautifully refined in her front third, her middle third swoops in with volume and then her rear third ties it all together with lots of natural muscle. When you ask her to get out on the move she is flawless from the ground up. Her flush brothers made a wave at the bull sale last spring with two of them selling to three highly regarded operations- the partnership of Lockhart Valley and Spruce View Acres as well as the Hoegl’s. We can’t wait to see her in production as we know when she becomes a Momma cow she will just be starting her outstanding future.
I really don’t know where to start with “Gabrielle”. I really struggle letting the top heifer in the pen be sold, but as a good friend once said “sometimes you just have to sell the best”. So when Gabrielle was selected to showcase our Fleckvieh program, I really had to bite my tongue and just let her go. She has been a favorite and a stand out right from birth. Battle Cry has quickly become a familiar name in the full blood circle, really a heifer bull who adds tremendous length and depth but maintains a moderate frame size and exponential growth at the same time. He has always stamped his progeny solid dark red and lots of pigmentation. Gabrielle’s dam is defiantly a favorite around here as well. Her grandma has now been flushed a few times and we are going to continue flushing her. I knew that the champs Romano and 64B would be perfect and it was. “Elsie” 7E is following right along in her mother’s footsteps and she has a bright future in front of her. I’m very excited for the future of Gabrielle and the mating to Anchor D Outlook is a great start.

Massive, bold and correct are the first things that hit you when analyzing 610H. She’s a tank while still being able to remain straight in her lines and smooth made. 610H’s sister made a big statement in 2018 Leading Ladies sale where she ended up being the highest selling fullblood female of the 2018/2019 sale season in Canada. 94C is as productive as they come with another natural born daughter at the Red Willow Ranch, 610H is a product of her first time being in the donor pen. When Darryl came out this summer, I was adamant that whatever we chose to take needed to represent the type of fullblood cattle we strive to raise. Well here she is. Radioactive caught our eye, so even though my daughter was two days old, my husband hopped on a plane and flew all the way to Quebec, only for Dan and Karen Skeels to buy him. So we settled for the next best thing and bought a semen package. Radioactive’s progeny to date has averaged just over $10,000 and his semen sales have averaged $630/dose. His calves are proving to have flawless feet, picture perfect udders, fantastic hair and dispositions that are second to none. His calving ability is easy enough for heifers, but throw him on some power cows and he packs the punch. Although FGAF Petra doesn’t have a fancy story about her being the lead-off heifer, she is proving to be one of my deadliest weapons. So much so that her bred heifer might be the best Spitfire daughter we’ve raised. Because Petra is still quite young, I turned to Francis Gagnon for his expertise at describing the cow family and seeing that he’s about as straightforward as they come: “sexy as shit” pretty much speaks for itself. Starwest Pol Hershey’s Kiss has a big broad top, lots of quarter, and while she may not be large framed, she’ll mature into one of the stockiest matrons in anyone’s program. The longevity, maternal strength, and structural soundness that’s jam-packed into her pedigree makes her destined to be a cow.

Here is the first calf to sell off our $34,000 acquisition from the Labatte program a few years back. 41E is a female that we feel is going to have a lasting impact on our operation. It’s hard to find Polled, Full Fleck cattle with the kind of foot and udder quality, hair coat, and overall power that 41E possesses. 100G may be the only daughter to sell off of our Twister herdsire, as we lost him after one short breeding season due to injury. Twister combined overwhelming power and pigmentation, with an awesome hair coat. 100G is a long bodied, sound structured, powerful female who has a great hair coat. The fact that she is homo polled only adds to her breeding potential, and is one that we think will be a big time producer moving forward.

When stressing the importance of feet and udders and the ability for a cow to raise a good one year after year, this cow family ranks very high in our minds. This females grandam raises us a great one year after year, including our top red bull in the pen this year being out of her crossed with SVS Betts. This females young dam, Cougar 23D, is a spitting image of the grandam, with a beautiful skull and front end, loads of middle third, and awesome foot and udder quality! Two cows that get picked time and time again as we tour people through the herd. Sharona 40H is as explosive in her growth, length of body, and overall power as you can make them, weaning off the cow at 900 lbs in mid August! She is dark red in colour, has loads of hair and eye appeal, and she will produce pounds for her new owner! The consistency in the SVS Betts calves has been remarkable here, a sire we used heavily again this spring, and we anxiously await getting these daughters into production. You add the great WFL Sage donor to maternal greatness in this young prospect, and I believe your ROI will be very quick!

This big ribbed, stout topped daughter of the $20,000 Erixon Lady 121D, crossed with the curve bending WS Epic, will demand your attention. Her dam was purchased as the lead off red female through Simmsational a few years back, and has not disappointed us in production. Our high selling red bull this spring was out of this donor cow and she has produced many other progeny that pattern like this female with extra power and punch! Lady 47H is so easy fleshing and soft throughout, yet travels on a real sound foot and leg, is super natured, and would be a great addition to anyone, for producing those heavy calves! The WS Epic sire is noted for his unreal EPD profile, ranking him in the top 1-10% for ten of the traits! His progeny tend to have nice straight hair, are born with ease, have ample grow, and lots of eye appeal.

When we decided to flush Erixon Lady 56D to IPU Lieutenant 24E, our thought was this mating could be very exciting and the outcome has been even more gratifying for us! 29H has been a standout amongst the group, with the 5 siblings in the replacement heifer pen and a brother in the bull sale line up. Our first set of Lieutenant daughters will start calving in January and we have come to appreciate them more everyday. They are all setting up terrific udders, and are very easy doing, big-bodied and sound made. 29H is an extremely long-bodied, big hip, performance orientated female.
Homo polled by pedigree, Keepsake is a long bodied, attractive and well balanced heifer with lots of thickness and good performance. Her WWT and YWT EPD’s are in the top 10% of the breed! Backed by a couple of very good cows, her own dam is a graduate of this great sale – a high capacity, good milking Walbanger daughter. Keepsake’s paternal grand dam, CMS Heirloom 112Y, is one we regard as our best red cow. Keepsake’s sire Frontier was our $25,000 high seller in 2018 going to Black Gold Simmentals. He has sired good performing and well accepted progeny – just recently they showed the Grand Champion Pen of 3 Bulls at the Edam Fall Fair, all sired by Frontier. Take advantage of this opportunity to buy a well made, highly predictable beauty of a heifer!

77H is a special female to us and one that showcases the exact type of cattle we want to offer to the industry, which is only our very best. Right off the top of our 2020 calf crop is this feature that was the standout since day 1. Her sire, the $120,000 Betts has been everything we expected out of him plus more as his first calf crop has made a huge impact on every program that utilized him siring stout, hairy, easy doing, good looking progeny. Her ET dam stems back to the $35,000 Roxy 186X donor and the $42,000 822U cornerstone female. Power is bred into her the whole way through with maternal greatness to boot with Sage 506C, Scream 215Z, Lotto and so many more female makers that are tried and proven. 77H herself is impressive as she is sound and athletic in her movement, strong footed, great teat placement and combines power and attractiveness like no other. We are committed to selling the very elite and here is the best purebred heifer born at KT in 2020!

To say we are excited about our Betts calves would be a huge understatement. The females are powerful yet don’t give up femininity and the bulls are huge middled with that signature Betts massive quarter. Elizabeth 24H is a long spined powerhouse of a heifer who has impressed us from a very young age. She has a real presence about her and you will appreciate how she transitions from her shoulder into a big bold rib and finishes that out through to her wide hip and depth down into her lower quarter. Her dam is a Horizon cow we purchased from Labatte’s back in 2018 who, like most of the Horizon’s is a big powerful cow. This is a heifer that is going to be very hard to part with but we feel she will be a real asset to her new owners herd.
An attractive Alliance daughter who is soft made with a ton of hair and style. She is backed by a solid 56U daughter with a touch of fleck in her pedigree. The 56U daughters have made a huge mark on the Simmental industry and are re-nowned for their exceptional udder quality. A maternal sib-ling to Alliance 29H by MRK Priority sells this year in Simmsa-tional who is a big bodied and phenotypically similar to her dam. Alliance 29H is following closely in her dam and sisters footsteps in developing into a great producer. With the ad-dition on Alliance in her pedigree he brings added style and structure to an already highly maternal pedigree.

This heifer brings very similar feelings to when we brought her granddam, WFL Red Sage 506C to this very sale. This heifer will knock the breath out of you when analyzing the amount of depth, spring of rib, and muscle shape she has. It is hard to find a female that is this overwhelming in those three characteristics, but still displays great femininity and extension through her front third. One of our favourite things about Jenny B is her dam WHL Jenna 1768E and the fact that you do not find many females like her that are so flawless in design. WHL Jenna 1768E will enter the donor program next spring and we would be happy to show her to you prior to sale day.

WFL LU Licious 2032H is the type of female we are striving to produce. Her dam WFL Red Licious 532C is a donor that simply breeds quality calves every year, no matter the bull that we throw at her. WFL LU Licious 2032H is a great example of that as she comes in a balanced package when considering phenotype and muscle mass. If you pay attention to genomics she has a balanced set of numbers as well. Her ¾ sister WFL Loaded Licious 807F demanded $35,000 two years ago in the very sale ring and three of her full brothers averaged $21,000 in our 2019 bull sale. We flushed her ¾ sister last spring and her dam and grand-dam have been flushed multiple times. This is a cow family that we are trying to multiply because the genetics are superior and they simply enhance our cow herd. I think it is pretty safe to say the “flush” word will be in LU Licious’s future.

When you get the opportunity to analyze this heifer you will appre-ciate her capacity, softness, and easy doing look. She comes to you backed by one of the best cow families we have ever had on the farm. Her granddam 37N is our now deceased Black Joker daughter who has done great things for our program. She sold 11 bulls to top end breeders and progressive cattlemen. Many daughters and grand-daughter have topped sales such as Canadian Western Agribition, Friday Night Lights, Erixon Simmentals Bull & Female Sale, and others are in production on our farm. We think the support pictures for 66H exhibit just a very small sampling of what this cow family has done. We have shown and sold more cattle out of this cow family than any other on the farm. The most recent highlights for this cow family are: producing the high seller at Simmsational in 2017 for $23,000 who is a donor female that resides at Rainbow River Simmentals and a heifer calf topping the 2019 CWA sale at $22,000 to Rafter 4T. The ground work has been done right here, buy into a great cow family!

There comes an era when a prolific donor female such as Mader Iron Sugar 7X, has run her course. Sadly this was Sugars year and we can’t say enough about the impact she has had on our herd and several others! With 58 registered progeny to her name, over 20 influenced females working in our herd, and sons such as Mader Walk This Way making a big impact on the breed, we can say she owes us nothing! This will be the last daughter to sell out of Iron Sugar 7X, and we truly do feel she could be the best one to date! Her extension throughout, her beautiful teat placement, her massive hip structure, and her admired correctness and bold rib are all great attributes she offers. Her $120,000 sire, SVS Betts, has been one of the best sires we have ever used. Growth, muscle definition, early maturity, and soundness are of a few things that come to mind when we think of Betts calves. It is with great pleasure that we offer Sugar 59H to the industry, and can already imagine the impact she can make as a future donor female.

A few years ago we acquired Springcreek Mickey 10D as a bred heifer, and it turned out to be great investment. She’s a powerful, heavy structured female that has a great look and is near perfect in foot shape. We have five full siblings to 159G and they all impress us more each day. A full brother will be one of our bull calves going to the Lloydminster Stockade Round Up. 159G is a moderate framed, huge bodied, stout made female who is still attractive and feminine up front. She combines a little bit different pedigree being sired by the $240 000 Exclusive bull out of Nebraska. We are very impressed with our few Exclusive calves and think 159G is a good example of why.

Envy 9H has been an early standout for quite some time and has continued to impress us. She moves freely on a wide base and nice big hoof with plenty of heel. Her pedigree is stacked with big time names in the breed leaving their mark. Envy 281Z has passed her gorgeous udder, spacious rib and excellent frame structure onto her progeny with a feminine look and Deeg Ms Envy 80D is no exception. Two maternal sisters to her sold in SimPower as breds to Maxwell’s and Hidden Stone Farms. The Capacity females easily rise to the top of both the bred heifers and this year’s replacement pen. They are certainly some of the females we eagerly await getting into production!
The Turnpikes have been standouts on both sides of the bor-der with impressive amounts of presence and power. He has a unique balance of calving ease and performance, and was easy to pick out sons when touring at Double Bar D last spring. We thought he would pair up nicely with our donor Springcreek B Gold 102Y who also exhibits the similar balance of calving and performance, 15H is testament to a plan com-ing together. We thought it was only fitting to bring Faye 16H to FNL as her dam was purchased out of this incredible event. But besides that, we feel she deserves to be in Old’s for Friday Night Lights as she is very good and improves with maturity. Her tremendous amount of body is easy to appreciate as well as her structure and foot quality. With Ponderosa Jenn’s Fay 135E on the bottom side its easy to see where the softness and depth comes from and can expect to be graced with just as beautiful of udder. We put our best females on offer every fall and last few years a percentage female has made the journey and its not hard to see why, they always rise to the top.

A female we should probably be keeping, but we are committed to bringing our best quality. By pedigree 30H would be more than a 3/4 sib to NGDB Structure 34D, whose progeny are a real highlight. She is mothered by a gorgeous uddered 3 year old Poker Face daughter that we thought high enough to flush before breeding this Spring. 30H is extremely attractive in her look and design. She is proud fronted, sharp made and ultra sound. We really like how 30H travels, how her rib shape transitions nicely into a smooth flat shoulder and she has a beautiful hair coat. We think she would be an awesome show heifer and know how beautiful she will remain as she gets into production. We are extremely proud of the progeny that trace back to LFE 90X and all the females in that cow family are continuously attractive and productive.
Our black donor IPU Temptress Clair 105C has done it again with this super stylish, long bodied, deep ribbed beauty. CMS Temptress 026H is a heifer that we are very proud to put on offer; she looks to be setting down an udder that will be as beautiful as her dams. Being out of the $205,000 high selling W/C Bankroll 811D bull adds a lot of power and performance, and some great EPD’s to an already impressive, fancy heifer. She is extremely tidy through her front end and ties it all together in a very attractive package. Temptress should go out and produce well for her new owners.

Miss Molly, Miss Molly, where do I begin? It all started with an embryo purchase from the Cobra Event two years ago. Blair was there, looked through the donors and the Mollydooker cow was top of his list. A really impressive female in the flesh, so complete and hard to pick a hole in. Structure was the new kid on the block at the time, an exciting sire with a big future. Fast forward to beginning of January 2020 and this little baldy baby was waiting in the barn one morning. First thought that went through my mind was, you’re going to be a sweet FNL heifer, and here she is! Molly is so powerful in her presence and unique in her design, you simply aren’t going to find another one like her. I could go on for days about what I love about this heifer, but I’ll let you decide for yourself!

Starlite is a sweet heifer, very maternal in her design. We just can’t wait to see the cow that this bald faced beauty turns into! Starlite comes from an exceptional Cobra sired momma and those Cobra cows are pretty much worth their weight in gold in terms of production value. A maternal sister to Starlite sold in the Lloydminster Fall Fusion sale in 2017 to Hoegl Livestock. Where she became one of Devyn’s favourite show heifers and was campaigned successfully by her. On the top side of her pedigree you will notice she is sired by R Plus Swayze. This was our first calf crop from Swayze and he easily earned his way into a second year in our program. The Swayze sired bulls were the heavyweights of our pen at weaning and the heifers are looking like the right kind. Take a look here, you won’t be dissappointed!

GLL 1H is our best 2020 born heifer and we love the direction this young female is trending. She is bred for productivity, longevity and functionality. 1H has a presence, style and a terrific disposition and would be a standout for a progressive breeder or a youth project. She is constructed the way we like them, deep sided, powerful and has the makings of a proud front pasture female. Both sides of the pedigree are outstanding and will showcase some of the great breed legends and the breeders that made them. Full sibs have been marketed through this very sale ring and found new high profile homes on both sides of the 49th. We think very highly of this female and thought long and hard about retaining her as a future matron of our program. Imagine this heifer mated with some of the most exciting young herdsires lighting the Simmental industry up! Don’t miss out on this late February female and the best representation of our 2020 calf crop!

Hailing from the Ultra Joker Cassade 90N cow family, 33H came in dam from last years FNL purchase Ultra 2D Cassade 58F. Calving in with a beautiful udder and tremendous balance and rib, she was a wise investment. Cassade 33H is a long spined attractive female. Being sired by Blackgold Approval 71E, 33H should develop into an exceptional cow backed by extraordinary cow families top and bottom.

Silvertop Miss Pickens 9H is an eye catching female that I am very proud to market this fall! Finding the perfect combination of style and power is tough, but I feel as though this heifer is the perfect example of that. She displays great length, broad hip shape, and overall capacity through her middle third, while still maintaining a soft, feminine front end. When this heifer is on the move she has a smooth and effortless stride on a solid black foot that can really be appreciated. Miss Pickens is a result of TJSC Boone Pickens 46C, who is a bull that is just beginning to make his mark on the Canadian side of the border. He first created a stir in the fall of 2018 when his daughter, RF/Rust Flirt 827F won Legends of the Fall and then continued on to highlight the Friday Night Lights sale selling for $62,000. On the bottom side of this heifers pedigree is a powerful black white face, Springcreek All In female, whom I purchased from the great Crossroad Farms program as a heifer. Crossroad Cate 148C is a top producing female in my herd, with unbelievable mass and maternal ability. She continually stamps her progeny with a great amount of style and functionality. 148C has two females on the sale road this fall with a bred in Simpower, and this heifer in FNL, which goes to show her ability to continually raise the good ones. Miss Pickens has stood out since she was born and the way she presents herself makes her hard to miss! $62,000 PAT. SIB

Bug is the first Tailgater female that we have ever sold, and we feel that she is going to be a female to watch for! She is a phenotypically appealing package that is based off a maternally made pedigree, she’s soft bellied, structurally flawless and has the bonus of a big foot. We feel that Bug has all the right attributes to become a cornerstone dam in any program, with a front end that will do well in any show ring setting.

This mating just works. It’s tough to make one with this kind of quality end to end. Massive rib cage, huge hipped and extremely sleek through her chest and throat. Maternal sib-lings to this female have already sold through this sale to the Thompson Family and Deeg Simmentals. Her dam is a near perfect uddered cow that originated from Lewis Farms and has crossed very well with everything she has been bred to. In her only show this year 51H was named Champion Prospect heifer and the Lloyd Stockade and was a favourite of every-one that saw her.

GRASS ROOTS DUCHESS 001
From our most treasured cow family we are proud to offer our absolute favorite calf of 2020 - one that has been in the works for a few years. We mated our Duchess 756T Angus donor cow to Built Right after admiring many of his daughters and got the female we wanted in Duchess 836. Breeding 836 to the proven calving ease and phenotype of Loaded Up was an easy call and resulted in this beautiful blaze faced female that has been impressive all year. Duchess 001 is a striking female that is balanced in every way. She is feminine, smooth made, long, and exceptionally sound with enough bone, muscle, and body for anyone. Our herd is built around Duchess females and they are sound, productive, and attractive with strong udders and exceptional feet. The dam, Duchess 836, has the best udder on the ranch as a first calver and we are making plans for her donor career. The original 756T donor looks great coming up on year 14, has 23 registered progeny with CSA and CAA, and we are expecting another 10 direct progeny in 2021. We are proud to be part of Friday Night Lights and offer our best with confidence.

Countess 49H is a special female that excites us as her dam is on the short list of donors to be flushed next spring. This 3/4 SimAngus is flat out awesome and when you analyze her you’ll appreciate her strong foot, impressive udder placement, athletic movement, attractive head and front end with a body type that is to be admired for the length, square hip, hair and overall dimension and depth that she possesses. Her sire needs no introduction as he is a breeding sensation and her dam is an awesome female that is beautiful in her design. She was purchased as a high seller in the Cobra Event and has transitioned into one of our very favourites. When you combine many of the breeds greats like Captain Scream, Scream 215Z, Betts, Sage 506C, Merchant, Broker, Flirt with breed legends from the Angus sector like Bismarck, Final Answer and New Trend 315 - you have a pedigree to truly build on. Her curve bending EPD’s land her in the top 25% for BW, CE, MCE, WW and YW which just adds to her value of a future donor in the making.
