Announcements
Fellowship Time - You are invited to our fellowship time that is held between worship services. This is a time to visit with friends and meet new ones! We'll have the coffee pot on and some breakfast goodies available in the Café from 8:30 – 8:55am and from 10:00 – 10:30am. We will also have coffee in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the 8:15 worship service. Wherever you head for fellowship time, we welcome you and encourage you to come!
Welcome New Members! – This morning Pam & DuWayne Krueger will be
joining at the 11:15am service. Please welcome them to the ORUMC
family!
Memorial Day Holiday – In honor of Memorial Day, the church campus will be CLOSED. Our badges will not work while the campus is in Holiday Mode so please plan accordingly. We will return on Tuesday,
May 28. Have a safe and enjoyable day!
Feed & Seed – Join us Wednesday, May 29 from 5:30-6:30pm in the FLC. This will be the last weekly
Feed & Seed until Fall. This week’s menu is Prime Rib/Baked Potatoes/Salad Bar/Broccoli Medley/Rolls. Alternate Entrée Option: Hot Dogs. Price is $7.50 per person (family maximum of $25). Reservations and/or cancellations are required by 4:30pm each Monday. Pentecost Community Gathering
June 9 at 4:00pm
Bring a picnic-themed covered dish and enjoy food, fun & fellowship!
Ladies’ Paint Night – Thursday, June 13 at 6:30pm in the FLC. Ladies of all ages are invited to a Sign Painting Party (you’ll be painting a decorative sign for your home). Cost is $20 per person.
Registration and payment is required by June 6. You may register and pay on our web page, Facebook page or in the church office.
Vacation Bible School – You are invited to the ultimate pep rally! Save the date and mark your calendars to join us on July 21-25 from 6:00 – 8:30pm. Please see the insert for sign up and list of needs. Sign up link is also on the church website.
Summer Feed & Seed – Feed & Seed is wrapping up for the regular weekly meals. We will have it once a month over the summer on the third Wednesday of the month. Mark your calendars for June 19, July 17 and August 21.
We will resume weekly meals in September beginning with the kick off meal on September 18.

***SPECIAL NOTE: The summer format is changing after June 9. There
will instead be Cookout & Bible Study Nights from 6:00-8:00pm at to-be-
determined homes on select Sundays, as well as outdoor-adventure
oriented day trips on select Wednesdays. A few additional fun outings will
be spread out too!! ALL DATES will be posted at
www.oakridgeumc.org/youth, and some require signups, so please stay
glued to that. Please also keep up with REMIND to stay updated on
unforeseen changes. Registrations for High School Mission (7/7-7/13 to
Slidell, LA), Middle School Mission (7/28-8/2 to Charleston, SC) and
Spiritus (8/9-8/11) are currently open, but deadline is JUNE 7!!!

GREENSBORO URBAN MINISTRIES (GUM)
ORUMC has been involved with Greensboro Urban Ministries for well over
20 years. There have been MANY different groups that have participated in
First Friday, food drives and participated through the purchase of Christmas
Honor Cards. We want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU all for your
dedication to this ministry. We have seen firsthand the impact of serving
the homeless in Greensboro and you are making a difference!!
