Client benefits (Live 15th September 14)
New legislation required QUU to accept domestic and commercial water planning applications online as water
development applications skyrocketed from 400 to 6000 per year. QUU needed a solution to:
· Implement a structured workflow that would support their compliance to legislative requirements;
· Allow their customers to submit their applications online;
· Automate customer interactions to minimise processing timeframes and staff workload;
· Automate electronic storage of application documentation;
· Provide easy access to KPI data for workload management.
We were engaged to build a customer portal for submission of such planning applications and we designed a
backend workflow to facilitate the processing of these applications. We implemented our Public Service’s
Dynamic Portal which enabled QUU to provide a secure portal for the creation, management and payment of
applications online, all within a very short timeframe.
Our Community Development and Regulatory (CDR) processes enabled fast turnaround of citizen applications
by guiding users online through intuitive assessment steps. The generation of decision notices to applicants was
automated, improving responsiveness and compliance rates. The solution also captured internal KPI data and
provided management with dashboards to manage workloads with direct access by their field service provider.
Our solution fulfilled QUU’s objectives 100% in their move to a more customer-centric model within the stipulated
short timeframe. With their move to the AWS cloud, resources were redeployed as they gained efficiencies in
labour.
