For an interesting departure from the meeting room, why not spend part of your event at Bayt El Seheimy or El Suheimy. One of the most prominent houses in Cairo, this delightful house dates back to the 18th Century and can accommodate up to 200 delegates. It is widely regarded as a perfect example of the period’s design and style.

Named after the last person who lived in it, Sheik Amin Suhaimi, El Suheimy house has been recently renovated and transformed by the Cultural Development Fund into an artistic creativity center. With finely painted ceilings, decorative cushions, carpets and exquisite turned wood, every room and hall has a wonderfully serene and relaxing atmosphere. It is a marvellous place to explore and promises your delegates an experience they will cherish forever.

Cairo Citadel, as the name suggests, is a magnificent fortress in the capital city. It was constructed under the aegis of Salah ad-Din – an Abbasid Ruler, between 1176 and 1183. It is said that the healthy air that surrounded the citadel was the main reason why Salah ad-Din chose it as the site for his bastion. The citadel is one of the world’s greatest monuments to medieval warfare and makes a dramatic setting for your meeting or event. Perfect for banquets, a cocktail reception or gala dinner, the venue can host up to 200 delegates.

The Manial Palace is said to have been built for Prince Mohammad Ali between 1899 and 1929 and given to the Egyptian nation in 1955. Prince Muhammad Ali is the first cousin of King Faruq.

Your delegates are invited to contribute to an innovative recycling scheme that helps the environment and the local community.

The Association for the Protection of the Environment (A.P.E) is a national non-profit organization providing vital employment to Zaballen (garbage collectors), the main inhabitants of Mokattam on the outskirts of Cairo. Their survival largely depends on garbage collecting and sorting, and recycling activities. In partnership with A.P.E this unique community has attracted international recognition for its achievements. The group recycles paper, including that donated by Semiramis InterContinental Cairo each month, and turns it into beautiful handcrafted paper cards, photo frames and bookmarks. Delegates will be given the opportunity to help the group and to produce their own recycled paper souvenirs to take home with them.
