Three R’s of Success

RESPONSIBILITY

RELIABILITY

RESPECT

Page 5: Welcome Students 2013-2014 School Year

Responsibility● My responsibility as a teacher is to help

you learn.

● Your responsibility is to learn to the best of your ability.

● Make no excuses, accept the results of your actions (or lack of actions).

● You have the right to succeed, but you also have the opportunity to fail.

Reliability

Do what is expected of you.

● Be ready to learn.

● Try to do what you are asked to do.

● Have all required materials out on your desk and be seated when I walk through the door.

Respect

Respect is extremely important.

● Respect each other.

● Respect yourself.

● Respect the school and my room.

Page 8: Welcome Students 2013-2014 School Year

Respect● Courtesy works wonders.

● Please say “yes” instead of “yeah.”

● Don’t tell anyone to “Shut Up.”

● Don’t use the “R” word.

● My name is Mr. Brown, not “Dude.”

A Final Comment

I dislike it when students are rude and don’t conduct themselves in the appropriate manner.

Please don’t complain and whine about things that you can’t change.

Changes those things that you can.

Propose possible solutions.
