HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS
DIS offers High School students the opportunity to create clubs that are made then available to 9 th through 12 th grades. A “CLUB FAIR” is scheduled early in the year for students to recruit new members.
Clubs are student led under the guidance of faculty advisers.
Clubs provide DIS students with leadership opportunit ies.
Club leaders organize structured meetings and activit ies that may take place on or off campus outside of regular class t imes.
As a group, members may attend events, host guest speakers, or organize community service activit ies.
Participat ion in these activit ies is emphasized in a student’s essay when they begin the university appl icat ion process.
