Radio Maria was born as a parish radio in 1983 in the diocese of Milan, Italy. Its purpose was to keep parishioners informed and to help them through prayer, the daily Mass and the Rosary. Radio Maria began broadcasting from its first English-speaking station on May 25, 2000 in Alexandria, LA
It is with great enthusiasm and joy that I begin at Radio Maria USA, as national director, under the pa-tronage of Our Lady. Allow me to express, on your behalf, my heart felt thanks to Fr. Robert Young for his dedication and commitment to Radio Maria for the past three years. I thank him for giving me his warm welcome and encourage-
ment. I also wish to thank Mr. Carlo DiMaggio, and the World Family of Radio Maria for their trust.
As we begin the month of May, dedicated to Our Lady, we then be-gin a transition in the life of Radio Maria USA, which includes also a change of location for the national director from Alexandria, LA to our

April 2, 2015 Message to Mirjana
“Dear children, I have chosen you, my apostles, because all of you carry something beautiful within you.
You can help me to have the love, for the sake of which my Son died and then resurrected, win anew. Therefore, I am calling you, my apostles, to try to see something good in every crea-ture of God, in all of my children, and to try to understand them.
My children, you are all broth-ers through the same Holy Spirit. You, filled with love for my Son, can speak of what you know to all those who have not come to know that love. You have come to know the love of my Son, you have comprehended His Resur-rection, with joy you cast your gaze towards Him.
My motherly desire is for all of my children to be united in love for Jesus. Therefore, I am calling you, my apostles, to live the Eu-charist with joy, because in the Eucharist my Son gives Himself to you anew and with His ex-ample shows the love and sacri-fice towards the neighbor. Thank you.”
Note: We await the final judgement of the Catholic Church to which we humbly submit.
April 25, 2015 Message to Marija
“Dear children! I am with you also today to lead you to salvation. Your soul is restless because your spirit is weak and tired from all worldly things. You, little chil-dren, pray to the Holy Spirit that He may transform you and fill you with His strength of faith and hope, so that you may be firm in this battle against evil. I am with you and intercede for you before my Son Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call. ”
studio in New York City. In this Marian month, we are
reminded of our Blessed Mother’s love. Appropriately, we celebrate our earthly mothers on May 10. I take this opportunity to wish all the mothers a happy and blessed Mother’s Day. We also want to celebrate the blessed one among women, Mary, who is our heavenly mother. Thankfully, as a mother, she continues to lead us to her Son,
Jesus through our beautiful Radio. With God’s help through Our La-
dy’s intercession we move forward to bring more people to Christ with the help of our dedicated staff and volunteers in the different regions of our beautiful country. There is a lot more to be done. We need your prayers and sacrifices.
Therefore, from May 11 to May 15, we will have our Spring Mari-athon along with all the worldwide family of Radio Maria. As you have

Please pray for me and be as-sured of my prayers for all of you. Thank you and let us invoke the Blessings of Almighty God on our family of Radio Maria. --In Christ, Fr. John Tino

“I do appreciate your well done job to proclaim the strength of faith and prayers worldwide, I am always lis-tening to Radio Maria in different countries and I happened to listen to Forming Faithful Families, (host-ed by James and Kathleen Littleton) and I was so touched. Indeed, it is through prayers and faith and we will be free from our sins.” -- Lau-rent G., Andhra Pradesh, India.
“I am writing to you today to thank you for your station because of where I am, I am unable to attend the Catholic Mass here on my unit. With the finding of your radio sta-tion, I can now follow along with the Mass that airs from the churches that your station uses. I am very grateful for that. A. P., Stiles Unit, Beaumont, TX

Celebrating 15 years of Radio Maria USA!
What is Regina Coeli? The Easter prayer Regina Co-
eli (“Queen of Heaven” in Latin) is a wonderful tribute to our Lord’s res-urrection and to the Blessed Virgin Mary (pictured in her Coronation at right). Although its origins are unknown, it dates back to the 13th century.
The Regina Coeli is one of four antiphons (short liturgical texts sung or chanted, often as seen below, in a responsorial pattern) dedicated to Our Lady. It is often sung as a hymn and has had numerous musical set-tings in its original Latin text, includ-ing several by Mozart.
Traditionally, it is prayed stand-ing, often at noon, in place of anoth-er well-known prayer, the Angelus, during the Easter Season from Holy Saturday until Pentecost.
According to The Golden Leg-end, a famous 13th century work about the saints, Pope St. Gregory the Great heard angels singing the first three verses from the Regina Coeli during a procession in the 6th century and was inspired to add the fourth line “Pray to God for us” (“Ora pro nobis deum” in Latin). Although this story is itself consid-ered to be a legend, it is, as Father
Herbert Thurston once put it in his book Familiar Prayers, “inseparably associated with the Regina Coeli.”
This prayer reminds us at Eas-ter, and throughout the year for that matter, of how much we have to be thankful for, even in the midst of our daily trials. When our Lord con-quered death in His resurrection he opened the gates of Heaven for us
to be able to share Eternal Life with Him there, along with his Mother, the saints, and our loved ones!
Antiphon #1Queen of Heaven, rejoice. Alleluia. For He, whom thou wast worthy to bear. Alleluia.
Antiphon #2Has risen as He said. Alleluia.Pray to God for us. Alleluia.
Antiphon #3V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary. Alleluia.R. Because the Lord is truly risen, Alleluia.
Antiphon #4Let us prayO God, Who by the Resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, hast been pleased to give joy to the whole world, grant we beseech Thee, that through the interces-sion of the Blessed Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may attain the joys of eternal life. Through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.

“Most Holy Virgin, who has deigned to come to Fatima to reveal to the three little shepherds the treasures of graces hidden in the recitation of the Rosary, inspire our hearts with a sincere love of this devotion, so that by meditating on the mysteries of our redemption that are recalled in it, we may gather the fruits and obtain the conversion of sinners, the conversion of Russia, and this favor that I so earnestly seek, (mention your request) which I ask of you in this novena, for the greater glory of God, for your own honor, and for the good of all people.” -- Amen.
