Holy Week & Easter Schedule. !Maundy Thursday Seder Thursday, March 24 @ 6:30 pm Town Square Do this in remembrance of me. Perhaps better known as The Last Supper, Maundy Thursday is the celebration of Jesus’ Passover with his

disciples. In celebrating, Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper whereby we are offered the forgiveness of sins for His sake. For our celebration of Maundy Thursday, we, too, will take part in a Seder Feast. While not a full meal, we will walk through the Old Testament elements of promise all the way to the promise of the crucified and risen Savior. The Lord’s Supper will be served. **The Seder will be held at Town Square.** !Good Friday Tenebrae - Friday, March 25 @ 7:15 pm - First Lutheran Church It is finished. Tenebrae worship is a service of darkness and reflection on the atoning work of Christ at His crucifixion and burial. The service begins and concludes in darkness, and uses a variety of Lenten readings, prayers and hymns. !Easter Resurrection Celebration - Sunday, March 27 @ 8:00 & 10:30 am He is risen! He is risen indeed! Following the dark days of Holy Week, a new light dawns. Easter morning brings an empty tomb, bewildered followers, and a resurrected Christ! Celebrate with us as we enjoy an Easter processional and all your favorite Easter hymns. The 8:00 and 10:30 worship services will be identical. Easter breakfast will be served by the youth in the basement from 7:00-10:00am. Note... there will be no adult Bible study, Sunday School, or Kids Ministry on Easter. !!Know. Grow. Show.

The music is provided by a worship band, and the service is on the screens in the Sanctuary and a large-print bulletin. This service also offers Kids Ministry Time, a fun and relevant teaching time for children ages 0-2 (Tiny Disciples) and ages 3-grade 3 (Kids Ministry) during the Message.

WELCOME TO FIRST

Holy Communion at First. Worship at First Lutheran includes a celebration of Holy Communion twice per month, typically the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. We believe Holy Communion is a special gift of God for our benefit. As a commitment to biblical integrity, communion is reserved for: * baptized Christians (Acts 2:37-38) * those who recognize and confess their sins (Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:8) * those who believe the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is offered under

forms of bread and wine (1 Corinthians 10:16, 11:27) * those who accept Jesus’ words: “given and shed for you for the forgiveness of

sins” (Matthew 26:28) All who share these biblical beliefs are encouraged to join with us and participate in Communion at First Lutheran. For those who have questions regarding these beliefs and practices, please contact Pastor ([email protected]). White grape juice is available on the communion tray for those with special needs. Children who have not been confirmed in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod should speak with Pastor before taking communion.

Few things are as important to people as the contents of their wallet, but Anderson reveals something that is far more valuable. He shows how the practice of generous living builds a more intimate relationship with God. Once you see your gifts from Gods perspective, your giving will never be the same.
