It’s hard to exist today without creating a list of the alterations we’d like to make. We compare ourselves to people in the news or the neighbourhood, constantly assessing what needs improvement. Yet, even when the changes are complete and successful, something is missing. We just can’t seem to transform ourselves to the people we want to be. That’s where God comes in. Into each of our lives He issues a call to come and be changed. If we will step apart from life’s clamour and climb with Him to solitary heights, we will find true transforming power. Alone on His mountaintop, we can bask in God’s shining presence, ready to be transfigured by divine love and grace. Only then will we find the perfection we seek, the perfection of a heart forgiven, healed and filled by the power of God. Come join Peter, James and John today and see your Saviour in all His revealed glory. And you too will say “ Lord, it is good that we are here!” PARISH LENTEN RECONCILIATION On Wednesday, March 25 th at 7:00pm we will be holding our Parish Lenten Reconciliation in the church. Father Paul has invited other Priests to help assist him with the reconciliations. Please plan to attend. DIOCESAN NEWS As a precaution due to the COVID- 19 virus, during Lent the Archbishop has requested we suspend the greeting of peace and the reception of Holy Communion (wine) from the chalice. Only the bread (host) will be given out.

THE PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION The Prayer after Communion concludes the Communion Rite and the Liturgy of the Eucharist, summing up its purpose in a single prayer to God. The priest leads the prayer and the people respond “Amen.” Together with the Collect and Prayer over the Offerings, the Prayer after Communion forms the presidential prayers. This prayer has existed as a part of the Mass since the earliest of times. The priest has the option to offer this prayer from his chair or from the altar.

LIBRARY: Prayer is one of the three pillars of Lent. Why do we pray? How do we pray? What do we say? Let's explore prayer together this Lent. Books of prayers and books about prayer are on display on the top of the library shelves. Sign out sheets are in the blue binder.

SUNDAY MORNING SMILE “Has your son decided what he wants to be when he grows up?” I asked my friend. “He wants to be a garbageman,” he replied. “That’s an unusual ambition to have at such a young age.” “Not really… he thinks that garbagemen only work on Wednesdays.”

2019 INCOME TAX RECEIPT The 2019 income tax receipts are available for pick up at the back of the church. They are

filed in alphabetical order. If you have any questions please call Susan at the Parish Office. Thank you for your continued support.
