We will never lose sight of how many people in the beginning and over the years have entrusted their hauling operations to MAC Trailer. Today, MAC Trailer has grown to be the nation’s foremost manufacturer of dump, flatbed and transfer trailers, straight truck bodies, pneumatic tanks and 407 coated vessels. Between the Alliance, Ohio Corporate offices, manufacturing plant, Aftermarket Parts Showroom, MAC Service, the Salem, Ohio Facility and MAC Liquid Tank Trailer in Kent, Ohio, MAC Trailer now encompasses over 668,000 square feet of facilities on campuses over 105 acres with a staff in excess of 900 employees that services both national and international markets. How did we get to this magnitude? Let’s take a moment and start from the beginning.

Mike forms the corporation – MAC Trailer Manufacturing Incorporated, opening his own one bay service repair facility in Alliance, Ohio January 1993.

The first new MAC Dump Trailer is built taking six weeks to manufacture, and is delivered to Kentucky to work the rigorous coal fields.

Alliance Plant Opens! MAC Trailer moves into its new 12,000 square foot plant, sitting on 10 acres. This becomes home to what will be years of growth and expansion for MAC Trailer.

On The Rise! MAC adds a 3,836 square foot addition to the offices and the east end of shop.

The very first Transfer Trailer is introduced to the waste industry during a trade show in Columbus, Ohio. MAC is now the largest manufacturer of Transfer Trailers in North America.

Cleveland Enterprise – the magazine for growing businesses – recognizes Mike Conny on “The Weatherhead 100” as owner of one of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio – MAC debuted as number 4 on the prestigious list.

2003MAC Service Receives “R” Stamp! This means MAC Service is now registered with the Department of Transportation as a certified facility to repair, alter, test, inspect and much more.

2003 2004The Ohio Gov. John Kasich attended the grand opening of MAC LTT in Kent, Ohio. The company is also working to get “U” stamp accreditation for code trailers. Once achieved, the plant will produce DOT 406 and DOT 407 units in late 2012.

2008MAC LTT introduces its first DOT 407 stainless steel trailer at the NTTC Tank Show. The trailer has inner barrel that is wrapped in insulation then covered with external layer of stainless steel. These trailer are used to haul various products that need to be kept hot or cold.
