been just released, replacing Dynamics 365 'Tenerife‘ and ‘Business

Edition’; available in United States, Canada, United Kingdom,

Denmark, Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Austria,

Switzerland, Belgium, Sweden, and Finland

Daily builds for Iceland, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia are now available through Docker.

Win Client will be the Dynamics NAV User Interface connected to a

Business Central backend.

So users are running Business Central with the NAV user interface is

the right way of putting it, they are not running NAV.

Licensing of additional objects

• Objects in 70,000,000 – 75,000,000 range are given by vendor for free

• Objects in 1,000,000 – 60,000,000 range are given by vendor for free for

ISV partner solutions (should match ISV requirements); will be available

for both on-premises and cloud versions of Business Central and will

have possibility to be published in AppSource (not yet, but soon)

• Objects in 50,000 – 99,999 range are given by vendor for free and could

be used to deploy on-premises extensions per tenant, cannot be used in

AppSource, but can be uploaded directly to a tenant

Microsoft:

- become more agile to deliver on customer

feedback, partner requests and to keep up with

the direction of industry and technology

- less likely to have a 5 year roadmap for specific

features

- If your top customer-requested feature is not on

that list, and you're considering investing in

working around it or building your own – proceed

with that investment if it is not too heavy,

knowing that it might become redundant within

3-9 months. Any heavy investment is worth

Customer is responsible for what he is doing inside

Business Central (data input, jobs running and so

on).

Partner is responsible for what customer can

do inside Business Central (setups, rights,

extensions).

Microsoft is responsible for availability of Business

Central, tenant maintenance and backups

Who and how is in charge of supporting the BC solutions?


Microsoft does not have any limitations to

database size and user count per tenant

D365BC databases run on Azure SQL DB
