Air ConditioningSummers in Jávea areunbearable, with excessivehumidity, and an AirCon unitthat keeps you cool in theSummer, can also keep youwarm in Winter.

Many units areinexpensive and will justifytheir cost (don’t forget what itcosts to install and ‘gas’)many times over. They makelocal summers bearable.

THE PUEBLOor Old Town

With the Gothic ParishChurch of St. Bartolome atits centre, the narrow streetsremind us they weredesigned with horse andcart in mind.

Wooden front doors openon the street, behind whichis a labrinth of rooms and aninner courtyard wherelivestock were housed.

Many properties havebeen converted into shopsand intimate cafés, eachwith its own tapas to matchthe atmosphere.

It might look boring butthe ‘Old Town’ is alwaysfresh, and delivers onpromise.

THE PORTor Aduanas

A reminder to everyone thatJávea was - and still is - animportant fishing port, proven by the number ofrefrigerated vehicles thatmake their way there fromplaces as far away asMalaga.

Fuel tax and EU quotasare strangling those whofish, in the same way as fewnow harvest oranges andother crops that are left torot.

You’ll discover somethingnew with every visit to thePort - and the ‘Fisherman’sChurch’ always impresses.

THE ARENALor Beach

Despite the danger ofmelanoma of the skin, tourists still pour onto thebeach to gain a sun tanthat will show their UKfriends they’ve had a greatholiday.

The ‘Sandy’ beach offerssafe bathing - not forgettingall bathing by the young orelderly should besupervised - combiningsand that is cleanedovernight, with anabundance of nearby barsand restaurants to suitevery palate and pocket.

There are rope andrubber climbing frames anda special area for disabledbathers at the Southernend of the bay.

Attorney, Power ofYou can give anyone a Powerof Attorney, either specific, limited or general; a poderthat can only be prepared by aNotary. It is relatively cheapand grants someone else theright to buy or sell in yourname. You need to havecomplete trust in the person towhom you give your Power, particularly if any part of thedeal is so-called ‘black’money in a brown-paper-bag.

A poder ceases to bevalid if either party dies, andcan be cancelled, but be sureyou can prove that you sentdetails of the cancellation tothe holder, and the Notarywho created, witnessed andholds the original.

SORRY TO BEUNHELPFUL

We received an eMail:Dear Clive, your new

magazine is so informative!

Could you ascertain

from the Police the "rules"

for not getting a multa for

not having a spare pair of

glasses, not having one or is

it two triangles, not having

a hi viz jacket for the

number of passengers, not

driving in shoes with soles,

fronts, backs, etc etc, not

putting anything on the back

seat, and whatever else the

rules are!!!!

My reply pointed outthat our FOCUS in “W2P”is on JÁVEA and whatJávea has that is different.Other wide-beampublications deal withmotoring topics on a regularbasis.

But I did ask CarmenAlesanco (one of our listedInterpreters)

[email protected] she would enquire on ourbehalf about footwear?

She was told that theGuardia prefer “CommonSense” rather than fininglaw-breakers. Drivingbarefoot is NOT allowed, asa booted foot can applymuch more pressure to thefootbrake in an emergency.Footwear MUST have a‘heel’ or ‘strap’ at the rear toprevent it slipping. the solemust NOT be of fabric, buta material this helps to gripthe pedal.

The general guide isthat any shoe with a heelhigher than 7cms isWRONG, but it is not aboutthe height of the heel, butit’s proportion. A 2cmstilleto heel would preventthe driver breaking in anemergency, whereas a heelof 6cm, that was uniform inshape, would be OK.

BusesThe bus service in Jávea isvery poor, with disregard foroutlying areas and any elderlywho can no longer drive.

There is a subsidisedservice from Toscamar to theArenal, Port and Town, that ischeap and reliable, but littleelse.

If you are a Pensionerthere are concessions. Obtainthe form from the Servicesoffice above Parking El Clot, and hand it - after completingyour details, a photo ofyourself and the fee, to one ofthe bus drivers, who will tellyou when they will have yourID card with barcode.

Those not of pensionableage can buy a ‘Season Ticket’for 10 €uros that buys 13,50€uros of journeys.

Local services areprovided by Autobuses Carrió

Valencia and Alicante, usingthe motorway, or visitingvillages on the way, using theN-332 and ALSA buses.

ButanoGas in the Cities may bepiped, but in Jávea, mostpeople rely on bottles, thoughsome foreigners andcommercial premises havegas on tap - in a tank.

There are two suppliers:Repsol, whose bottles areorange and heavy. and Cepsa, whose bottles are muchlighter and silver colour.

Your house insurancemay be invalid if you have aclaim and cannot prove thatyour gas installation was safe, with a current (valid for 5years) Certificate.

English speakingSebastian, who lives in Denia,is an independent inspector,

authorised by the Ministry ofIndustry, used by many toinspect and certify theirhomes. He can be contactedon 687 480 183.

Itinerant ‘Gas Inspectors’- working only oncommission for out-of-areacompanies - regularly visitJávea, and charge hugeamounts for replacing out-of-date tubing or regulators, using very intimidatingtactics.

Propane and other gasesare available and there is aspecialist supplier for oxygenand industrial gases inBenissa.

FuneralsInsurance

It was traditional for manySpanish grandparents -abuelos - to arrange burialinsurance for new nietos -grandchildren, ensuring futurelow premiums and one lessfinancial trauma, no matterhow many years into thefuture that child dies.

The problem with burialinsurance is that you have noidea how much you will pay. Many policyholders have paidmany times over for a funeralthat has not - yet - beenneeded, but if they stoppaying NOW, they will losethe benefit of every premiumpaid.

Pre-paymentBritish companies Avalon andGolden Leaves both offer pre-payment where, for the priceof a funeral NOW, it will beprovided at any time in thefuture, no matter what theprice THEN. Plans start at3.150 €uros.

Page 11: Welcome to Paradise October 2011

Pre-Pagado Paz wasspecifically created to meetthe needs of Brits in Jáveawho needed more than the 24hours allowed by Avalon forthe Cremation. Clients couldpay extra for additional days,a church service, and allmanner of extras.

The PPP plan includes upto 7 nights ‘refrigeration’ - toawait arrival of relatives, anda Thanksgiving Service.

PPP Round-Tuit PlanThis plan was specificallycreated to protect the spouse -usually the wife - whosehusband never got ‘RoundTuit’ with regard to funeralinsurance or pre-payment.

Even if their loved-one isin Intensive Care (or theMortuary), provided a funeralcompany has not beeninstructed, a Round Tuit plancan be arranged withimmediate effect, and oftensaving a considerable amountof money compared to theprice the family wouldotherwise be charged.

CremationCremation is increasinglypopular in Jávea, which hasits own facilities, as well asproviding a service for funeralcompanies from surroundingtowns and villages.

‘Balbi’ and his staff atTanatorio Jávea, on the Jáveato Gata road, are as proud oftheir facilities as would be aRolls Royce dealer.

Donation of remainsPrior to the introduction ofCremation, and because fewhad relatives to tend a ‘niche’in the Cemetery, many choseto donate their remains formedical research. It is stillpossible and arrangementsneed to be made with theUniversity Teaching Hospitalin San Juan.

IntermentYou can choose for yourcoffin to be placed in a‘niche’ in the Cemetery, butthey are expensive to buy(depending on where, and atwhich level you choose) andif you rent, and do not renewthe premium, the remains can

be removed, and re-interredwith others, in a communalniche.

Humour - NOT about JáveaThere is a story about a smalltown in the Valencia region inwhich the mayor decided tobuild a whole new façade onthe front of the town hall. Heobtained three quotes for thebuilding work. The first wasfrom a Rumanian buildingfirm who were asking for300,000 euros. The secondquote was from a Germancompany who were asking for600,000 euros. The thirdquote was from a Spanishcompany who wanted 900,000euros.

The mayor asked theGerman company why theywere charging double theRumanian company'sestimate. He was told that theRumanian company would beusing cheap materials andwould be using untrainedlabour. By contrast, theGerman company would useonly the very best materialsand all their builders werequalified and experienced.

Then the mayor asked theSpanish company why theywere asking for 900,000

euros. He was told, "300,000euros to pay the Rumaniancompany, 300,000 euros forus, and 300,000 for you."

Needles & CaterpillarsThe strange ‘pear-shaped’bags hanging from pine treesthat look as though they havebeen created by over-activespiders, are the day-timeresting place of caterpillarsthat graze on pine needles atnight. The adult, as a moth, lays around 300 eggs inAugust that hatch a monthlater.

When fully grown, theCaterpillars can be seen in aprocession, as if holding eachother’s tail with their ownhead, and have a poisonousprotein on every hair of theirbody, as they search - usuallyduring March - for soft soil inwhich to pupate. Contact withhuman skin can produceextreme redness and swellingand any pet which disturbs aprocession should beimmediately taken to a Vet.

It is said, that byremoving pine tree branchesbelow 3 metres (but DO NOTcut them where there arebaskets of these enemies)protects the tree because thefeeble female moth cannot flythat high.

PostCorreos has the monopoly forcarrying letters in Spain.Their main office is in PlazaMarina Alta, at the highestpoint in the Old Town.Stamps are also sold inTABACS.

Postmen only deliver tocertain areas on certain daysand insist that outlying housesprovide community boxeswhere letters for 50 or morehomes can be placed by thepostman, for the owner tocollect.

If a letter that needs asignature arrives, the postmanwill leave an Aviso in the‘buzón’ for you to collectfrom the Correos officewithin 15 days.

If you do NOT have a‘buzón’ the postman willlikely leave an Aviso under astone near your house, inexpectation that you will findit!

PostcodesMost towns have a singlePostcode: Jávea has 4 butCorreos discourage their use,and claim it is better to use03730 (where 50% will bewrong) rather than the codefor your area, which ‘some’will get wrong.

I love my ‘CruiseControl’ - BUT

I read of a Stateside driver,on a long, straight road doing65mph in the rain, when thecar began to ‘aquaplane’ andliterally flew through the air.

The driver was notseriously injured but verystunned by the turn ofevents! When explaining tothe highway patrolman whathad happened, his advice wasblunt: NEVER DRIVE INTHE RAIN WITH YOURCRUISE CONTROL ON.

I would have thought Iwas being cautious by settingthe cruise control andmaintaining a safe consistentspeed in the rain, but thepolice (andwww.snopes.com) point outthat if the cruise control ison, your car will begin toaqua-plane when the tyreslose contact with the road, and the car will accelerate toa higher rate of speed makingyou take off like anaeroplane.

The police urged carmanufacturers to add a labelto the driver's seat sun-visor -NEVER USE THE CRUISECONTROL WHEN THEROAD IS WET OR ICY,along with the airbagwarning.

I thought that by settingthe cruise control and drivingat a safe speed - I’d beminimising the possibility ofan accident, regardless ofroad and weather conditions.

I am told that somevehicles (like the ToyotaSienna Limited XLE) willnot allow you to set thecruise control when thewindshield wipers are inaction.

GOODVISION IN ADOWNPOUR

If you are caught in atorrential downpour of rainwhen out in the car, resist thetemptation to switch yourwipers to maximum. Itdoesn’t make sense, but usethe MINIMUM setting thatcasually wipes the screen.

Most motorists wouldturn on HIGH or FASTESTSPEED of the wipers duringheavy downpour, yet thevisibility in front of thewindscreen is still bad.......

This advice is only goodif, close to hand, you keep apair of POLARISEDSUNGLASSES and wearthem - in the downpour - andwith the wipers on minimumspeed.

Suddenly, as if by amiracle, your visibility infront of your windscreen isperfectly clear, just as if itwas not raining.

You still see the dropson the windscreen, but notthe sheet of rain falling. Youcan see where the rainbounces off the road. Itworks to eliminate the"blindness" from passingcars as well as the "tyre-spray" if you are following acar in the rain. CR

Renting PropertyAny ‘rental’ other than thatclassed as for ‘Tourism’ - nolonger than 90 days can, if thetenant has a mind to do so, beextended for 5 years.

Some owners granted 11-month tenancies, eveninsisting that the property isvacated in the morning, before being re-occupied afterlunch, for a fresh 11-monthterm, but this arrangement isNOT excluded from beingextended for 5 years by atenant with the intention tostay.

ResidenciaAnyone coming to Spain for aholiday can stay for 90 days. Those who intend to stay forMORE than 90 days, areOBLIGED - as soon afterthey arrive as convenient - toapply for a Residencia.

You need a Certificatefrom the Padrón office in C/d'Avall, 39, and the originaland photocopy of yourPassport, which need to betaken to Denia (our regionalcentre for Government) butmost people take theirdocuments to Teulada, whichis far less busy.

Those using Teuladashould go to the Town Hall, obtaining a numbered ticketfrom the machine, on the left, inside the front doors. Whenyour turn arrives, take yourdocuments to the vacant desk.Your documents will bechecked and you will begiven a return appointment. When you return, follow theTicket procedure, and youwill be given a form to take tothe nearby bank and pay thefee. When you come back, hover by the desk, and youwill be given your Residencia -regarded as a worthless pieceof paper, but you will havecomplied with the Law!

Schools and EducationSchooling is a pivot point formany families, whenconsidering relocating.

Those who can afford todo so (and that includes manySpanish families) choose anInternational education fortheir children. XabiaInternational College has bothJunior and Senior premises onthe Ctra. Cabo de la Nao anda Kindergarten facility atCosta Nova.

Lady Elizabeth Schoolwas founded in Jávea byVeronica Barnes, but has nowrelocated to Benitachell andLliber.

If there is the possibilityof the family returning to theUK permanently beforeschooling is complete, privateeducation is often preferable, because it follows the UKcurriculum (more or less)

On the other hand, if youand your children intend tospend the rest of your lives inSpain, best to get immersed assoon as you can, with - free -education in a state-fundedschool.

Some schools in Jáveateach every subject inValenciano, creating doubledifficulties for children notborn here. I am told thatparents now have the optionto choose a school that does

not teach in Valenciano, ifthey think it would harm theirchild’s education.

Tourism - Jávea’s ‘Industry’Jávea’s main ‘industries’ havebeen Construction andTourism, but income fromboth has been drasticallyreduced since 2009. Theinfamous LRAU ‘Land GrabLaw’ by which a strangercould ‘gain the right to build’

on land they did not own, andcharge the owner part of thecost for a new infrastructure, without any opportunity ofsharing in any profits, hasdeterred many buyers.

The LRAU wasintroduced to prevent alandowner from frustrating‘Community Projects’ - like aschool, hospital or communitycentre - but was used bycorrupt developers andTownhalls to allow luxuryhomes to be built on stolenland, claiming that ‘high classhomes’ were good for thecommunity. Attempts tooverthrow the Law byAbusosNo have beenunsuccessful, an EU Courtrecently deciding the practicewas NOT unlawful.

Spain does not recognisethe function of a DistrictValuer who would stipulatethe value of the land involved.

Socialists cancelled theRiver Ebro water project andPP endorsed the LRAU,prompting some to suggestthat there is little point invoting in National elections.

Townhall (Council) OfficesIf Jávea has a restaurant orbar for every day of the year, the Council has an office forevery day of the month, and atotal lack of cohesion. Back in2003 the (then) Mayorpromised to introduce‘Ventanilla Unico’ - onewindow - for residents and ithas always been a TOPmanifesto item!

One proposal was foreach of the Tourist Offices toact as the Point-of-Contact,receiving requests “expones”and giving an indication ofwhen to call back for theanswer. The ‘Expone’ wouldbe moved from office tooffice, rather than theapplicant needing to do so.

The traditional Townhallin Plaza de Iglesia in theTown centre, was vacated for

refurbishment. At the sametime new Council Officeswere created as part of the ElClot parking scheme, butremain unoccupied becausethere are no funds to equipand furnish them.

Town PlanEvery town is obliged to havea “Strategic Plan” whichstates what can - and cannot -happen in different zones. It isnormally revised at 10-yearlyintervals, but the content isbitterly controversial, and itspreparation and approval canoften take 6 or 7 years.Jávea’s new Plan is overdue.

TrainsJávea’s only train is privatelyowned and run, during theSummer months between theArenal and Port. It has notbeen running in 2011. It couldbe hired for events.

Connection to Spain’snational rail network is viaValencia, with Gandia beingthe closest station. Mosttravellers from Jávea join thetrain at its first stop, Xeraco, which is close to the AP-7motorway exit, and has amplefree parking.

There is often talk ofreopening the former linkfrom Gandia to Denia thatwas closed in a ‘Beeching’exercise, but the project hasnever received centralgovernment funding.

WillsIn the UK you can write yourown ‘Last Will andTestament’, have it signed by2 witnesses, and it will governwhat happens to your assetswhen you die.

Spain is totally different.Only a Notary can create thepublic documents thatcontains your final wishes, retaining the original in hisarchives and sendingnotification to the Registry ofWills in Madrid.

Abogados (lawyers) canadvise on the wording wherethere are complications likeprevious marriages orillegitimate children, but youwill have to pay the Notaryfee, whether you have anAbogado or not.

If your situation is notcomplicated - just spouse, car, house and legitimate children- the Notary can provide youwith a template you completeas and where appropriate, sothat all issues are included.

The Original Notary'sOffice is in Historia Chabas,Nº 6 (I think). If you were totravel from the PORT towardsthe town, passing the Ctra.Cabo La Nao, on your left, and on to one-way traffic, atthe junction where USED TOBE SOME TRAFFICLIGHTS, (with ComptersXabia on your bottom left, and Amparo the Pharmicisttop right, TURN LEFT andHistoria Chabas is the FIRSTlittle road on your RIGHT.Park anywhere you canfind!!!!

The NEW Willsupercedes and replaces anyprevious.

The ORIGINAL isretained by the Notary, who

A couple of years back, Idecided to buy my mother-in-law a cemetery niche asa..... Christmas gift.

Last year, I didn't buyher a Christmas gift.

When she asked mewhy, I replied, "Well, youstill haven't used the gift Ibought you last year!"

and that's how thefight started.....

I took my wife to arestaurant. The waiter, for some reason, took my order first.

"I'll have the rumpsteak, rare, please."

He said, "Aren't youworried about the mad cow?"

"Nah, she can order forherself."

and that's how thefight started.....

My wife and I were sitting ata table at her high schoolreunion, and she kept staringat a drunken man swigginghis drink as he sat alone at anearby table.

I asked her, "Do youknow him?"

"Yes," she sighed, "He'smy old boyfriend. I am toldhe took to drinking rightafter we split up those manyyears ago, and I hear hehasn't been sober since."

"Wow!" I said, "Whowould think a person couldgo on celebrating that long?"

and that's how thefight started.....

When our lawn mower brokeand wouldn't run, my wifekept hinting to me that Ishould get it fixed, but, somehow I always hadsomething else to take careof first, the shed, the boat, making beer. Alwayssomething more important tome. Finally she thought of aclever way to make her point.

When I arrived homeone day, I found her seated inthe tall grass, busily snippingaway with a tiny pair ofsewing scissors. I watchedsilently for a short time andthen went into the house. Iwas gone only a minute, andwhen I came out again Ihanded her a toothbrush. I

said, "When you finishcutting the grass, you mightas well sweep the driveway."

The doctors say I willwalk again, but I will alwayshave a limp.

My wife sat down next to meas I was flipping channels.

She asked, "What's onTV?"

I said, "Dust." and then the fight started...

Saturday morning I got upearly, quietly dressed, mademy lunch, and slipped quietlyinto the garage. I hooked upthe boat to the van andproceeded to back out into atorrential downpour. Thewind was blowing 50mph, soI pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, anddiscovered that the weather would be bad all day.

I went back into thehouse, quietly undressed, andslipped back into bed. Icuddled up to my wife's back- now with a differentanticipation, and whispered,"The weather out there isterrible."

My loving wife of 5years replied, "And, can youbelieve my stupid husband isout fishing in that?"

and that's how thefight started.....

My wife was hinting aboutwhat she wanted for ourupcoming anniversary.

She said, "I wantsomething shiny that goesfrom 0 to 150 in about 3seconds."

I bought her a bathroomscale.

and that's how thefight started.....

My wife was standingwithout clothes, looking inthe bedroom mirror.

She was not happy withwhat she saw and said to me,"I feel horrible; I look old, fatand ugly. I really need you topay me a compliment.'

I replied, "There’snothing wrong with youreyesight."

and that's how thefight started.....

HOW TO AVOID A FIGHT

Page 21: Welcome to Paradise October 2011

provides you with a copy. The Notary is OBLIGATEDto notify the Archive of Willsin Madrid (Registro CivilCentral de Madrid - deTestamentos y ÚltimasVoluntades) of the name, andplace and date of birth ofeveryone for whom he holdsthe original.

When the Testator isdeceased, on production of acopy of the entry of Death (inDenia Court in the case ofJávea) application can bemade TO MADRID, statingthe reason you want a copy, and asking where the latestdocument is held.

On production of theauthorisation from Madrid, the Notaria will provide youwith a Certified Copy of theOriginal Document.

Spanish Law stipulatesthe inheritance rights of aspouse and children, butallows a Brit to choose toleave their assets as they wish- even 100% to the cat ordog’s home - but familyalways have the right tocontest the intentions of theTestator.

WorkNon-Spaniards - andespecially those who are notfluent Spanish speakers - willfind it VERY hard to getemployment. Employers paya punitive tax for employingstaff, so there is a huge‘black’ labour market wherethe government receivesnothing in respect of IncomeTax or Social Security, andthe employee has no rights, health cover or pension tolook forward to.

Autonomo - selfemployed - is one option, butskills that were amplyrewarded in the UK (PA tothe MD) are worthless inJávea, where villa-cleaning isall you might be offered. Thisis a huge generality, butDON’T listen to people whowill promise you work if yourelocate to Jávea - the chancesare 99.9% against.

XabiActualThis is the title of a TVprogramme, created weekly inEnglish and Spanish by ateam of volunteers.

It can be viewed on‘Swiss Cable’ - Channel 25

and rotates with other localinformation on a continuousloop.

If you see the‘XabiActual’ picture, but hear‘Channel 5 Live’ sound, pushthe OPT button on the remotecontrol for your ‘Swiss’ or‘Key’ digibox, then the right-hand arrow >, and OK to lockyour choice into the digibox.

If you (or a friend) hasinternet, but no access to‘Swiss Cable’ but would liketo see the programme eachweek send an eMail [email protected]

and the ‘link’ will be sent toyou each Saturday evening, when recording resumes.

Faced with the task oftranslating Town Hall pressnotices into English, Idiscovered tha Jávea Amigos’already did it, and asked if wecould use some to add ‘a bitof news’ to our Directory of‘What’s Where - in Paradise.’

Their response wasimmediate - YES WECOULD. We thank them andtrust you will enjoy thisadditional feature of W2P.

And FinallyVery few foreigners get richin Jávea, but the quality oflife is hard to find elsewhere.

WELCOME TOPARADISE!

LYN “Jumps for Jesus” TO RAISE MORE THAN700€ FOR MEN’S HOME

As soon as they heard that congregation member Lyn Fisherwas willing to jump from a plane, strapped to an experienced‘jumper’ Jávea Evangelical Church decided to pay the 180€sponsorship fee.

The event was on Saturday 24th September at an airfieldnear Castellon, organised by the Lyons Club. Accompanied byhusband, Tony, and watched by Mike and Jeanette on behalf ofthe congregation, Lyn discovered her butterflies were late inarriving. Though full of confidence beforehand, Lyn found thethought of dangling herself out from the side door of the plane, relying on the man strapped to her back to begin their decentfrom thousands of feet in the sky, was much more traumaticthan she’d expected. “I knew if I died I’d be in the presence ofJesus - but I’ve never felt so dependent on the newcomerstrapped to my back - and then I remembered that we wereBOTH dependent on God, not only there and then, but foreverything and always.”

Safely back on ground, preceded by the 19 year-old photoand videographer who jumped out before each couple andprovided them with a DVD and photos. before donning a newparachute and joing the next couple of lucky jumpers, Lynfound herself being helped to her feet “My legs wouldn’t work”before realising that “I’ve done it!” When I asked if she’d do itagain, the look on her face gave me her answer.

Because her church paid the 180€ ‘registration fee’ all ofthe 700€uros Lyn raised from friends and sponsors, went to theGandia home for homeless men - many of whom live out theirfinal days there - being cared for by Franciscan Monks.

Well done, Lyn!!

SCHOOL PRICESHEALTHY LUNCHESBEYOND REACH OF

MANY LOCAL HOMESAt 4.20€ a day, Jávea school dinners are not cheap and somemonths the charge is over 100€! Imagine if you have 3children at school!

Previously, depending on your family situation theComunidad Valenciana gave a 'subsidy' to help towards thecost. Instead of paying 100€ a month you paid something like40€, based on a point system to determine whether you neededthe subsidy or not.

Last year the child needed more than 13 points to get the'benefit'..this year - two days before the final list was printed -the Comunidad Valenciana changed the amount of points youneeded to qualify to 17.

To be able to receive 17 points the child must be anorphan or a victim of war or something like that.

If - like me - you can't afford the price of the schooldinners you have to pick your children up at 12:30 and returnthem to school at 3pm.

It can’t be saving any money to have the same staffcooking fewer meals.

The price includes starter, main and pudding but themajority of 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 year olds wouldn't eat all ofthat and leave most of it. It's a waste of food as well as money.
