About Me
My goal is NOT to have students memorize the
dates of battles, the order of the Presidents, or entire speeches
My goal is to teach students to draw on their own experiences to form opinions about the past and help them develop the skills to think critically about history
AND to create a safe and welcoming learning environment where it is okay to make mistakes and where students will be encouraged to express their opinions
Goals and Philosophy
But I won’t be upset if that
happens
I try to make every lesson interesting and
engaging I want students to showcase their creativity
whenever possible AND I also like to reward students for a job
well done
