Call To WorshipL: The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. P: The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. L: The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. P: The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.  The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. L: They are more precious than gold, they are sweeter than honey. P: By them your servants are warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

Hymn #240 “Marvelous Grace of Our Loving Lord”Verse 1: Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Verse 2: Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,Threaten the soul with infinite loss;Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Hymn #240 “Marvelous Grace of Our Loving Lord”Verse 3: Dark is the stain that we cannot hide. What can avail to wash it away?Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,Whiter than snow you may be today.Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Verse 4: Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace,Freely bestowed on all who believe. All who are are longing to see His face,Will you this moment His grace receive?Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;Grace, grace, God’s grace,Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Hymn #506 “O Jesus, I Have Promised”O Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end;Be Thou forever near me, my Master and my Friend;I shall not fear the battle if Thou art by my side,Nor wander from the pathway if Thou wilt be my Guide.

O let me feel Thee near me! The world is ever near;I see the sights that dazzle, the tempting sounds I hear;My foes are ever near me, around me and within; But Jesus, draw Thou nearer, and shield my soul from sin.

O Jesus, Thou hast promised to all who follow TheeThat where Thou art in glory there shall Thy servant be.And Jesus, I have promised to serve Thee to the end;O give me grace to follow, my Master and my Friend.

Scripture Reading by Marcia Hemler Genesis 2:15 - 3:7

15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. 18And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. 21And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

Scripture Reading by Marcia Hemler Genesis 2:15 - 3:7

1Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God actually say, 'You shall not eat of any tree in the garden'?" 2And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'" 4 But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.

Hymn #495 Must Jesus Bear the Cross Alone?

Must Jesus bear the cross alone,And all the world go free? No, there’s a cross for everyone,And there’s a cross for me.

How happy are the saints above,Who once went sorr’wing here! But now they taste unmingled love,And joy without a tear.

The consecrated cross I’ll bearTill death shall set me free; And then go home my crown to wear,For there’s a crown for me.

Upon the crystal pavement downAt Jesus’ pierced feet,Joyful I’ll cast my golden crownAnd His dear Name repeat.

Benediction
