RULES AND REGULATIONS Sweetwater Summit

Camping Park
ALCOHOLIC Alcoholic beverages are permitted providingBEVERAGES: the alcohol content does not exceed 20%.
CAMPFIRES: Campfires must be confined to existing stoves or fire rings. See ranger for current campfire rules. No fires after 11 p.m.
DRONES: Remotely piloted aircraft and drones are prohibited.
FIREARMS & Firearms, fireworks, and weapons are notWEAPONS: permitted in County Parks.
NOISE: To ensure each park guest’s pleasure and peace, quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Excessive noise and loud music is discouraged at all times.
PETS: Pets are permitted if they are properly restrained and under the control of the owner. Dogs must be licensed, restrained on a leash no longer than six feet, and attended at all times.
TREES: Do not tie or hang ropes, wire, or tents to trees. Do not drive nails, screws, or staples into trees.
VEGETATION All plants, animals, natural features, and& NATURAL archaeological resources are fully protected andFEATURES: may not be damaged, injured, or removed. Please
check with your ranger for firewood — he or she generally has a supply to sell for campfires. Please do not gather it from within the park.
WASTE WATER: Please dispose of all waste water in an approved dump station, never on the ground.
YOUTH: All persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legally responsible adult with medical authorization for each minor while camping in the park.
NOTE: Residence in the park is contingent upon guests maintaining their immediate camping area in a safe and clean condition and complying with all park rules. Failure to comply will result in a suspension of camping privileges and loss of prepaid fees.

There are several golf courses nearby, and the Sweetwater Reservoir offers shoreline fishing on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from sunrise to sunset. Call 619-409-6777 for information.
Sweetwater Summit FacilitiesCampers, trailers, motor homes, and tent camping are all options at our 100-plus sites, all of which have water and electricity. Trailers as long as 45 feet will find plenty of room here, and all sites include sewer services or use of the dump station facilities. Campers have 24-hour access to hot showers.
Other amenities include an amphitheater, a partially enclosed day-use pavilion with kitchen facility, a private lawn area, horseshoes and playground areas.
Community Building
The Community Building is nestled on the edge of the meadows, overlooking the shoreline of Sweetwater Reservoir. This glassed-in modern facility is available for rent, and features an outdoor patio with breathtaking views of the lake, an indoor great room designed for special events, an indoor-outdoor fireplace, a kitchenette, a playground and ample guest parking.
Provence House 4370 Sweetwater Road • Bonita, CA 91902
Provence House is a perfect location for weddings and special events for up to 130 people.
The house has an enclosed patio connected by French doors and two indoor rooms designed for special events. It also has 4,000 square feet of grass outside the building to extend your event space.
The house comes with a full kitchen, two separate furnished rooms which can be used for a bride and groom changing room, and restroom facilities. The venue also provides folding chairs and tables for your special event.
Eastview Community Park 3218 Summit Meadow Road • Bonita, CA 91902
Eastview Community Park is adjacent to Sweetwater Summit Regional Park. The facility features a tropical aquatic playground, which is sure to be a hit with children. Other features include one large and four small pavilions, as well as lawn areas and picnic tables with panoramic views of the countryside.
Welcome to Sweetwater Summit Regional Park. The area surrounding you is a unique county recreational area. Looking to the west, you can see San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Looking east, one sees the majestic views of the Sweetwater Reservoir and the backcountry mountains of the east county.
The Hub of South Bay RecreationVisitors to Sweetwater Summit Regional Park have a palette of activities to choose from. The Sweetwater Regional Park Campground rests on top of a hill overlooking Sweetwater Valley and offers modern campsites—including some with corrals for equestrians who want to bring their horses to explore the 16 miles of trails in the park.
Below the summit are hundreds of acres of open space featuring chaparral and river habitats to provide a diversity of experience for hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers.
Sweetwater Summit Regional Park is especially appealing for people who want to get away—but not too far away. It’s located 10 miles southeast of downtown San Diego so in a matter of minutes, you can get from your campsite to the Gaslamp Quarter, hotspots like the world famous San Diego Zoo and the museums of Balboa Park.
