Welcome to Te College at Brockport We are delighted with your interest in Te College at Brockport. Tis packet contains useful information about the College, the region and our search process. Te College Today, Te College at Brockport is a dynamic campus that plays a vital role in the Western New York economy; with approximately 1,300 employees and about 8,600 students, most of whom remain in the region following graduation. Our 464-acre campus is a blend of open spaces, wooded areas and modern ofce, classroom, residence and recreational facilities. Te Drake Memorial Library is recognized as one of SUNY’s fnest with its extensive collection and global access. Te Tuttle North Athletic Complex houses gymnasiums, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a ftness center recently outftted with top-of-the-line Cybex equipment. Two theaters and two exhibition galleries also provide venues for the arts. From Hartwell Hall, the College’s oldest and most traditional building (completed in 1941) on the eastern end of the campus, to the recently completed student townhome residences and visitor’s center on the western end, the College ofers a modern and comfortable place to work, live and learn only a short walk from the Village’s Main Street. Te College at Brockport's outstanding faculty engages in teaching, research and service within the College's mission, which focuses on student success as its highest priority. Ninety-four percent of full-time faculty hold the highest degree in their feld. Ninety-six faculty are recipients of the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Te Search Process

Te Ofce of Afrmative Action oversees the search process While you will spend a great deal of time dur-ing your visit answering questions you are encouraged to ask questions about the College as well Candidates frequently wish to learn more about the Colleges policies benefts retirement options and conditions of employment

If at any time during your visit you feel that inappro-priate evaluation criteria are being used or that improper questions are being asked please bring your concerns to the attention of the search committee chair or call the Collegersquos afrmative action ofcer at (585) 395-2109

Following your visit the search committee will meet and make recommendations to the appropriate supervi-sor who will then make an appointment recommenda-tion to the President

It is important to note that prior to an appointment recommendation to the President a College adminis-trator may enter into discussions with you about salary and rank expectations as well as other conditions of employment While these negotiations are signifcant they do not constitute a job ofer Ofers of employment are only made in writing from the College President

You can be sure that the search committee and Col-lege administrators will do all they can to conclude the search promptly and that you will be made aware of any delays that may arise If applicable the College will process your reimbursement voucher as quickly as possible You can speed the reimbursement process by keeping all receipts and completing the reimbursement form at the conclusion of your visit
