Our client’s team continues to grow and they are adding three more Managers, Capacity
Development and Intervention roles to their team! Two will be located in West Vancouver, B.C. and
the other role will be located in Ontario, Quebec or Nova Scotia.
The First Nations Financial Management Board (the “FMB”) has a unique opportunity for three
exceptional and motivated senior level designated professional with outstanding communication
skills. This is an opportunity to join a great team and to make a difference!
Reporting to the Director of Capacity Development and Intervention you will work closely with First
Nations clients in various financial management, capacity development and internal control related
capacities. Support provided to clients may include various forms of facilitating, enabling, motivating
and educating. You may also be responsible for developing policies, templates and communications
materials.
Along with an accounting or internal control designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA or CIA) and a post-
secondary degree, you have 5+ years of experience planning and conducting internal or external
audits of internal control over financial reporting or similar areas. Experience working with First Nations
and/or municipal governments is highly desirable! A Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM)
designation, though not required, would be an asset. Bilingualism (French/English) would be a definite
asset for the Eastern Canadian role. Our client may consider an appropriate mix of solid experience
and education in lieu of an accounting/internal control designation.
You will have knowledge and experience with internal and financial controls, financial reporting,
review and improvement of accounting and finance policies, procedures and practices. You have
strong written and verbal communication skills as well as well-developed presentation and training
skills. You are recognized for your ability to quickly build relationships and credibility. You must have
the ability and willingness to travel occasionally within Canada and outside of regular business hours
when necessary.

Under the responsibility of the executive director, the person selected will have to intervene with the victims, inform them about the judicial process and their rights and remedies, accompany them in the judicial process, the Court and in their various approaches. The counsellor will also have to meet with Kitigan Zibi’s et Rapid Lake’s partners to strengthen and develop collaborative processes.

Job requirements • University degree in criminology, psychology, social work or related discipline. • Work experience in victimology intervention settings. • Availability to travel within the Judicial District of the Outaouais, particularly in the
communities of Kitigan Zibi and Rapid Lake. • Bilingualism (English/French/Algonquin an asset). • Being a member of a professional order. • Meet the requirements of a security survey.

Program Objectives The Heritage Funding Program supports projects undertaken by individuals or organizations that promote or support:
local heritage through education, awareness and appreciation
the reclamation, retention, transmittal, development and revitalization of First Nations, Métis and
Inuit heritage and culture research or documentation of local history preservation of local heritage assets
