Breakfast
• Due to our long mornings, it is really important that children come to school after eating a healthy breakfast.
• This will prepare the children for learning and help with their concentration and participation throughout the day.
What to bring in every day
5
• Water bottle -named
• Fruit snack(Bring in if child does not like all fruit.)
• Reading book
• Correct uniform
• Coat and book bag
Please name everything.
Top tips for uniform
6
• Label all items of clothing with name and class. This way if it goes wandering it will most likely be returned to the classroom.
• We ask children to tuck in their shirts to encourage neatness. Some children may need to practice this at home.
• A polite reminder that a fleece is for outside. Children become very warm in the classroom and a jumper is recommended for inside.
PE Days – Tuesdays and Wednesdays
7
On both of these days please send your child in wearing their PE kit.
On hotter days this is their blue shorts and yellow tops.
On wet or cold days, this can be their warmer outdoor PE clothing. This should be a navy blue jogging top or their normal school sweatshirt, and jogging bottoms.
Reading record Logs
8
• We would like your child to read 5 times at home a week.
• Please sign the book (and write a comment if you wish to).
• Use the reading record to help with phonics.
• Read on bug club too (log in is stuck on the front cover).
• Reads at home are numbered to count towards a book prize!
• We will change the books on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
• Please send your child’s books in every day.
Topics

Each half term we will have a different topic.
These will be uploaded onto the website at the start of each half term.
Please read it for important information.
Due to the current situation, we are unable to organise any trips…yet. As soon as the guidance changes, we will keep you updated with our future plans for out-of-school, learning experiences.
